why @ZOS? just why? keep pushing Solo players aside, this doesn't make any sense, it was already fine the way it was, nobody complained about it, but yea if it's used then it's gotta be nerfed ya know? cause if you buff the others instead it would be called balance but no let's just throw it into the trash list.

    The shield is weaker, but can proc more often. Sounds like they are tuning it. People with high crit might actually find it to be improved due to the lower cooldown.

    That too, in the exact same patch where they introduced another monster set that is still doing what ice-heart used to, essentially.

    Iceheart has long been a powerful defensive set that has become a staple for situations where you want to sacrifice damage for survivability, especially in instances such as Maelstrom Arena and no-death Trial runs. While we love the idea of this set helping in those contexts, the value of defensive and offensive potential this set provided was leagues beyond our standards when comparing it to other sets such as Brands of the Imperium or Phoenix.

    They need to nerf all monster sets including mighty chudan and Zaans as well. They are way overpowered! Too much defense for one and way too much damage from the other! Then I won't have to try taking on those vet dungeons. They should says this as well on those sets "the value of defensive and offensive potential of these sets provided are leagues beyond out standards when comparing it to other sets" blah blah blah.

    The devs are taking away the incentive to run dungeons. I just unsubed my account due to this.

    This set has been in the game for how long. It's now that overpowered? Or maybe they need to find a way to make that new trash helm more viable. These devs haha

    It's fairly close to Brands of Imperium on the defensive side as is. It has a higher chance to proc, but I suspect both have a consistant and similar uptime. It also does not grant allies a shield, in that regard you could say that Imperium is far superior. One character wearing it can produce a shield for the entire dungeon group.

    The nerf however doesn't just adjust the offensive aspect of the set, it is adjusting the defensive aspect as well and it will clearly not perform as well as Brands of Imperium after this. If Brands of the Imperium is one of the sets being used to measure this by, they're missing the mark.

    It seems like this is to promote a new set, one which does not share its defensive bonuses universally.

    If they do nerf Ice heart to make way for another crap monster set in the DLC, both will be in the garbage. ZOS , leave Ice heart alone. Plenty of players use Iceheart to solo and your new DLC set is worse than the base game set. Players are not fooled at all.

    i know right set was basically always better than phoenix and that got nerfed even tho its a 5 piece, kids its about time you all learn how to block and dodge not even mention being aware of the mechanics having 9k stam is another issue

    Such an awesome set and they will almost kill it too.... Great job... But they need to sell their new DLC somehow... Cant have sets in game that are better than those given by DLC....

    Ummm, most DPS will always use the best set available not sure what your point is. Now most DPS will be running the next best available set until its nerfed and so on.

    Personally rarely used Iceheart. But what I see is more of the same out-of-touch developers applying standards over what players enjoy. There's only so much joy you can slice out of a game. After last year's massacre and more of the same to obviously come, this is the first time I've ever considered bypassing a new chapter. Yeah, I know, ZOS doesn't care. Message received loud and clear.

    Seems to me the set was just fine for years. Now that the new similar shi**y dlc set is coming out you had to nerf this one to make the new one look at least somewhat good. Except now they both suck and wont be used by anyone.

    Thanks for making the game worse with every nerf update.

    And you had to put it on to the Golden Merchant just some weeks ago so people would only dissappoint now? I mean wth? Are you trolling us ?

    Totally agree with Hack. DMG/shield power doesn´t matter at all, but CD makes this set ***...as Pirate Skeleton. I´m using Grothdar atm on my Magplar, but Iceheart was kind a dreamy set for me, wanna have it on my Magden, Magsorc and Magcro because last few yrs I´m only solo player, no guild I can talk in my native language and have fun, no time to regular and organized action (trials, pvp etc) so story and world stuff is way to go for me. And I´m not pro, my reflexes are bad, timig and positioning also and sets like Iceheart helps with my survability.
    So I don´t know...I´m back after 3/4yrs pause and first what I´ve planned was to get Iceheart asap. Now I´m quite pissed and start witch Witcher 3 again (not playing DLCs) so there is much to do and I ´m thinking to cancel sub.
    Remember just 2months be4 Morrowind chapter I´ve started with PvP, made and bought 5 sets for my stamblade, improve to purple/yellow, than Morrowind came, first big patch and I can start again...So I´ve completed Morrowind story and quit, how angry I was...
    Call me crybaby, but since beta there was so many stupid changes I don´t even know why I ´m still playing.

    That said, based on some in-game data, testing, and the feedback we’ve been reading, we’re going to make further adjustments to this set in next week’s PTS patch. The plan is to make the baseline function meet the same standards as the Mother Ciannait set, with a 5k shield that lasts up to 6 seconds with a 6 second cooldown. With Iceheart's auxiliary function being focused on preserving the shield to get as much effectiveness out of the damage as possible, and Ciannait around rushing in boldly to break the shield to maximize the Magicka gain, there will be a better parity between the two that helps them both meet our standards as well as feel different from an engagement standpoint.

    I could understand the small decreases in power. But doubling the cool down is over kill. I don't understand the issue with people wanting to use a specific set that works to make it solo/trials/etc. Is the expectation that we should be changing sets for each type on dungeon/trial/or solo area that we attempt to do. I don't know if I have enough inventory space to carry around sets to be situational.
