3 skill points spent on nothing and that can't be respecced or accessed

I've already got a ticket submitted about this which is moving glacially slow since I'm having to slog through all of the basic troubleshooting such as "log out and log back in," "repair your files," "type /reloadui into your chat," "uninstall all mods," etc. I've finally got to a point where I think I've got them convinced something is actually buggy with my skill points since the ticket has finally been escalated to the online team, but I want to see if anyone knows what might be causing this since it might help point them in the right direction.

On one of my characters that was created in the early access period that was available before the game's official launch, I currently have 150 skill points earned. I can go through my achievements and verify exactly which ones these are and using Urich's Skill Point Tracker confirms all of the same skill points. When I do a full skill point respec it costs me 7500g as expected, but only actually refunds 147 skill points. At this point I have 147 skill points available but I can still start another respec that costs me 150g (i.e. for the other 3 skill points that weren't refunded.) The thing is, I can't actually apply this second respec since there are no points spent in any of my skill trees to refund. Even choosing "Clear All" then "All skill lines" doesn't refund these points. The game clearly thinks that I have earned those 3 skill points and spent them on something because it charged me 7500g for 150 skills when it refunded 147 and it's allowing me to start a second respec that costs 150g, but I can't access them. I remember a bug where if you respecced with points in Vampire or Lyncanthropy you'd lose those points, but I've never unlocked those skill lines on this character, so that can't be it. Any ideas? Were there skill lines or skills that changed and I've got 3 points spent on old versions of skills that the current system doesn't recognize maybe?

    Sure! I'm not too worried about the speed of it, though, since I can still play without those 3 skill points although I do worry about complicating things if I gain additional skill points while the ticket is active. If anything I was just frustrated with all of the generic and basic troubleshooting that had to happen, and that hurdle seems to have been passed.

    Thanks! I'm not sure if you checking it nudged something, but I've already got a response from them. :-)

    I'm going to try their troubleshooting as soon as I get home. We're checking to see if it's the vampire/lycanthrope thing first. I don't think that's it and they said they're not active on my character, but my memory may be fuzzy about learning those skill lines at some point.

    I'm having a frustrating time with ESO support. They're being very friendly, but it's been over 2 weeks since I submitted my ticket but I feel like I'm still at square one trying to convince them that this is a bug since I'm still being asked questions that I've already answered multiple times during our conversation. I'm starting to get the impression that the team I'm speaking with is just a customer service team, and doesn't actually have any ability to be able to look into or fix this bug.

    Their most recent reply took 5 days, and it asked for 2 screenshots to show what was happening. The thing is, in my most recent post that they replied to I had included a link to a gameplay video of the bug in action which covers exactly the screenshots they wanted. I can also tell by the video metrics that no one has actually viewed the video. I've replied to them in my support ticket with the requested screenshots, but I'm setting the video to public and including it here in the hopes that maybe someone will take a look at it to see that it is clearly a bug and fixes it, or can be pass it along to a technical team that can fix it rather than a support team.

    The bug is that the number of skill points I have earned according to my achievement log matches exactly what I am being charged when doing a full skill point respecification, but I am only being refunded 3 skill points fewer than that amount. At the time of recording the video this was 153 skill points earned with a full respec costing 7650g with only 150 skill points refunded, but I've since earned several more skill points and the bug can still be 100% replicated. Also as shown in the video, even when I'm at 0 skill points spent I can start a respec that says it will cost 150g but I am unable to refund any points during that respec or carry through with it.

    Tl;dr version of the bug: I don't have access to 3 skill points that I should have access to.
