Since it's 2020 now and I did not see an annoying thread saying that we want cross save I'll just do this time^^

We want cross save...
It pushes playerbase extremely... look at destiny download numbers on steam...

Oh and to spare you some work I'll just send me the link that it will never happen myself :)

    Eh... what is cross save? Ah never mind, I checked the link. Yes that is really a shame that they don't allow it yet.

    Are you thinking console to console cross-save?

    Because PC to console and vice versa brings up the whole issue of add-ons.

    Why would addons be a problem? On pc they work on console they don't.

    The link actually has nothing to do with cross save its just the standart answer. Cross save means that you can log into your (once) choosen account form all platforms. Lets say you want your PC accout to be the cross save one then you can log into this accout from PS4 and XBox and play on all platforms without having to level multiple diffrent accounts.

    The biggest problem would come from PC add-ons that impact the trading economy. Addons like MM and TTC make a huge difference in the PC economy vs Console.

    Good question since OP is not very clear what they are asking for. They ask for cross save which means all characters can be available on a different server so you can play both and progress is saved on all. Then OP links a support thread about account transfers where you move everything from one platform to another. Progress does not continue on both severs, just one.

    Regardless, Zos has not build out what is needed to transfer between live servers let along cross-save. Either Zos is not interested in it at all or there is a contractual clause with one or both console platforms that prevents it.

    More importantly, Zos has not even decided if Stadia will cross save with PC/Mac accounts even though it will play on the same server. That alone speaks volumes about the chances of Console-PC/Mac cross save chances.

    Their current database structure doesn't even allow for them to have current EU and NA characters present on PTS at the same time. I think a full cross save would go well beyond that.

    The issue is not addons, that can be dealt with if needed.

    It is both Account and Character names that have duplicates on all platforms now, mostly due to the initial account transfer at launch of the consoles.

    Even since the account transfers I expect many duplicate names were created. Few players come up with truly unique names.

    I doubt they will bring cross platform any time soon if ever. I have a feeling though in the future most games will be cross platform.

    They are missing out though on a good chunk of money. I have 3 or 4 friends that would play on console if they play with me on PC. Yes 3 or 4 for one user not much, but if you figure an average of 2 extra players per current subscriber. You're talking a lot more revenue coming in

    It is not as easy as with other general games. Steam/Playstation/Xbox all have different paths for ESO+ and crown store purchases as well as expansions. It is big knot of licenses and contracts.
    I say this as a PC user who also has an older account with many crown store houses and other things not available anymore on the PS4 account that I do not use anymore.
    It is not happening.
