Looking to make a pelinal whitestrake build

I throughly enjoy the story of pelinal whitestrake and I want to take part in make a build solely dedicated or inspired by him. I need someone to tell me what’s the ideal race, class (most likely templar but I want to hear other people’s opinions), and motifs that will help me achieve my goal. Not looking to make him look exactly like pelinal but inspired in a way.

If you haven't already, resources like this - https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Pelinal_Whitestrake - are useful.

Templar is a no-brainer in terms of class, and while their race is technically unknown they were represented as a dark-skinned Imperial in Oblivion so you could go with either Imperial or Redguard (their name is supposedly a corruption of "Pelin-El" which says Redguard to me more than Imperial). If you look at what their armor did in Oblivion (https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Knights_of_the_Nine_Items) they were skilled in Restoration magic, so they would not just be a Templar who is a good swordsman, but a healer as well. Definitely a tank-type of setup with a good health pool. One of their arms was a 1-handed longsword, so that means 1h+shield.

For aesthetic, there isn't really anything that matches the Knights of the Nine armor style that well, but it'd be mostly the heavy armor styles and have a good bright white dye and something that can hit a strong red. This is what someone on ESO Fashion came up with - https://eso.mmo-fashion.com/pelin-el-the-whitestrake-eu/ - as a starting point.

There is a “Paladin” outfit style coming soon in Update 25, @Starlock ... the Knights of the Circle style.

    First, you should be mad.
Second, you should be always covered with blood (preferably of your enemies).
Third, race doesn't matter much as you should use the factotum personality (polymorph).

Remember, Pelinal is a divine creation. He was brought to Tamriel to fulfil a single purpose and was destroyed when that purpose was fulfilled. As such he doesn't actually has (had?) free will. Do what you are created for no matter the cost is his motto.
The Three Storm Sharks, episode 8 released on january the 8th.

    one mer to find them,
One mer to bring them all
and in the darkness bind them.

With that in mind I feel stamsorc would maybe work better than templar.

According to vol. 2 of the Song of Pelinal:
"[and Pelinal] came to Perrif's camp of rebels holding a sword and mace, both encrusted with the smashed viscera of elven faces"

In the Knights of the Nine expansion his relics also include a shield, so 1h+shield on one bar and dual wield on the other.
