Problem with using Delves in Cyrodiil

BUG

Bottomline: Entering a delve (and Volendrung practice area) in Cyrodiil while the server full will cause you be stuck in the delve.

I entered a delve to get the AP buff, but cannot leave the delve and get the following error messages: "Your destination is full", "You are already queued for that campaign", and "Your attempted jump failed".
Why do I need to requeue if I'm still in Cyrodiil?? It took me ~5 mins of repeatedly using the exit to get out. Get me unstuck also does not help.

I have seen previous forums back in 2017 raising this issue. This is ridiculous.

Don't go into a Delve on a full server during the middle of the event, go when its empty, get the buff and log out

I agree. Your spot shouldn't be given to someone because you entered a delve inside cyro, which is what this is.

You don't go casually into a delve on a locked server. It's dumb.

Even if not locked, the load screens are long while you stand there vulnerable, and during events the boss is likely dead anyway. Waiting for a boss to spawn hardly seems worth the 20% buff.

People advising not to go in delves in a full campaign assume it makes sense to be considered outside Cyrodiil when in a delve. I, for one, don't think it makes sense at all. In fact I could swear I've done it during previous events and never ran into this issue, so it could very well be a new "feature".

Delve would be separate instance I guess, maybe if they can give option to log out of campaign (outside cyrodiil) but then again it's not very frequent problem and it's all right unless you are clostrophobic or if a Zerg decide to enter same delve.
But what are the chances ?

Unless I'm mistaken, non-pvp deaths won't return you to a keep but give you the option to respawn at the same location or at the nearest wayshrine. Inside a delve, that would be the wayshrine near the entrance.

Weird that they are separate instances, they are not overland however I assume its to reduce load in Cyrodil.
Note that some town quest require you to enter delves to, however recommend using low pop faction owned campaigns for these quest anyway.

/reloadui and then trying the door again helps leaving the delve. Dying or using a teleport stone does NOT, by the way (learned that the expensive way 😭). As much as I love this game, some stuff truly sucks.

This is clearly outstandingly poor game design and should be fixed. However, I would assume it has a low incidence so it will not be prioritised or fixed any time soon.

How do delves in Cyrodiil give you a 20% AP buff?

And how can I tell if/when my campaign becomes pop locked? Is there some kind of klaxon that goes off, or an onscreen message?

Do I get a 10 second warning to “abandon delve” in the case of imminent pop locking?

How can I tell if it’s not pop locked and it’s safe to go delving?

What is the longest time any player/character has been incarcerated in this manner? I think there should be both a leaderboard and an achievement for this (and probably an exclusive memento in the form of a food hamper or supply chest).

What would happen if everyone in Cyrodiil went into a delve at the same time?

That would be for logistics I assume. Places in virtual world won't be as we are accustomed to in real world. Depending upon various factors, many doors might actually be teleportation points.

Killing a boss in a Cyrodiil delve gives you a 1-hour buff to AP earned. 20% is quite low, especially during an event when you get a 100% buff just from reading a scroll, so unless you're farming your way to Grand Overlord I wouldn't even bother. Still, the fact remains that there is an incentive to go into delves in Cyrodiil and a punishment if you do it on a full campaign...

You can't. There is no warning.

Do the AP stack, so do we actually get a 40% buff when killing bosses? Because that would be a lot. As in, 20% on top of the double AP? (I'm too tired for maths...)

So, if course this bollocks happened again this year, but what's more "funny" is that it keeps happening in Imperial City as well, lol. Changing from the sewers to the grounds above keeps telling me I'm in queue blabla and I have to try over and over again. Who programmes such bollocks? m(

You can't go up or down a ladder in IC half the time during this event, and those should definitely be the same instance.

When I ran into this issue, I just tried it a few times and after like a minute or so it worked.

Not going into delves is not a solution.

And yet they make you do that 6x2 times if you want to pick up all the dailies.

Things like this make me want to stop wasting time building characters in such a fragile game.

did you try the recall stone - do they even work within a delve?

The 20% buff is in addition to the 100% scroll buff.

This week I successfully used a Keep Recall Stone in a delve.

Dying at this point is the worst because if server full and no points are captured you're stuck dead.

I can already here the "lol don't enter delves when full server" guys going "lol don't die when server full i so smrt"

On the topic of delves though, that's the weakest excuse ever, "don't access content" put the issue on ZoS not the players.
