The fact that this was apparently intentional frankly makes it worse. The description says "For the Queen!" and what I'm waving around is a yellow version of the Legion Zero emblem...? What Queen is it referring to? Molag Bal?
A brain fart that can be heard across the sea. No, just no.
I was going to make a thread asking a question about this banner but I guess I'll just ask it here. I have enough of those emblems to buy the "alliance banner" but due to being unable to be at home to play I've not yet been able to buy the 50k ap licence thing to create the banner.
Will I not be able to make one once the event ends? If not, looks like I might miss out on this. Not that it matters much.

The combining of items will likely still work after the event (I'm basing this on experience with the writs and other similar items), in my opinion.
However, the Standard Bearer License seems to only be on sale for the duration of the event, so you do need to find a way to purchase it during this timeframe. Potentially, if you want more than one, you'd have to buy your 2-3 of the licenses to be safe. The emblems can be traded and sold between players, so you still have a chance of acquiring those after the event.

This job was even more lazy than expected. The design is just a recolour of an already existing banner.
(Or probably not even a recolour for the DC.)
Edit: No idea how to make that into an embedded image.
Thanks ! You managed to make something good out of this - now I can at least have a hearty laugh any time I see the AD version of it ! (Not to make fun of the AD, but because I visualize "Queen Molag Bal". And they are the only ones that have a queen.)The description says "For the Queen!" and what I'm waving around is a yellow version of the Legion Zero emblem...? What Queen is it referring to? I wasn't 100% sure what was going on. So I went and built the emote for a faction using the "permission" that is purchased for 50k AP plus the 10 daily tokens....it is IDENTICAL to the emote you purchase for 5 event tickets. I can no longer purchase the emote I built as well. The emote you build is IDENTICAL to the emote you buy.
So, one more question now though...can a toon display a banner that is a different color than their alliance? ...I'm guessing they can, since the banner doesn't have the alliance emblem on it, it just has the legion zero emblem on it.
Do I cash in tokens for 10k gold or spend 50k to get license & get the flag in the hope they make it what we were all after?
I accumilated my 10 emblems on my DC pvp character and then realised i also needed 5 tickets ...I was hoping for the DC Lion banner emote not what I got.

I think you misunderstand, you don't also need 5 tickets. You either get 10 emblems AND buy the 50k AP license. OR buy it for 5 event tickets.

True. And it will still be a poxy, badly coloured banner from the wrong war
LOL

Never divide by Legion Zero.Perhaps when Sai Sahan entered his Schrodinger state of being both dead and alive at the same time, he altered the fabric of time and Yokudan warriors somehow warped forward to today's Imperial City, carrying their blue banners and whatnot. They probably grabbed some extra uniforms and put them on so as to blend in. Then when Molag Bal came to establish the planemeld, they remembered that time he kicked their Yokudan butts way back when, and arranged a deal with him. Bol then dubbed them Legion Zero, as all the other Imperial legions had regular numbers.
Hey ZOS, are you hiring more loremasters? I think I can make stuff up with the best of them!

Im annoyed i wasted the emblems that took me all event to earn, and the licence fee on something i didnt want, so really not impressed
One of these banners is not a Aldmeri Dominion banner.

The banners are the same whether you use emblems or spent tickets at the Impresario. There were no true “alliance banners” — they were all Legion Zero/Yokudan.

You miss my point .. if u already have the "proper" alliance banners, and u obtain one of the event legion zero banners box u will be told "u already have this item"
