Alliance banner bought from Impresario is legion zero banner?

I have the same problem. Saved 10 medals to buy the DC flag emote, however the flag is not the silver lion on the DC blue background. I had no idea that it will look like this. Very disappointing. I hope this is a mistake, because I don't want the legion zero themed banner or whatever it is.

I was going to make a thread asking a question about this banner but I guess I'll just ask it here. I have enough of those emblems to buy the "alliance banner" but due to being unable to be at home to play I've not yet been able to buy the 50k ap licence thing to create the banner.

Will I not be able to make one once the event ends? If not, looks like I might miss out on this. Not that it matters much.

The combining of items will likely still work after the event (I'm basing this on experience with the writs and other similar items), in my opinion.
However, the Standard Bearer License seems to only be on sale for the duration of the event, so you do need to find a way to purchase it during this timeframe. Potentially, if you want more than one, you'd have to buy your 2-3 of the licenses to be safe. The emblems can be traded and sold between players, so you still have a chance of acquiring those after the event.

Now I know it is actually an ancient yokudan banner I'll maybe get one after all. I just wish I could wear it fixed to my back like the Yokudans.

I was interested in the event because of the Aldmeri banner emote - but instead, my character got Legion Zero flag? For my faithful altmer that was very disappointing. A crime against his religion and patriotism

That is hilarious.An ancient Yokiudan banner is now for Zero Legion and somehow also all the 3 Banners war alliances. ZOS really pulled a fast one. This is some lazy, sleazy ***.

Thanks ! You managed to make something good out of this - now I can at least have a hearty laugh any time I see the AD version of it ! (Not to make fun of the AD, but because I visualize "Queen Molag Bal". And they are the only ones that have a queen.)

@ZOS:
The Alliance Banners are:
- a silver (white) lion on a blue field
- a silver (white) eagle on a golden (yellow) field
- a black dragon's head on a red field (thus being the only one that isn't following the rules of heraldry, but that's not the point)

So if I am a "certified standard bearer" with an expensive license from my alliance that says so, I eventually should have a standard (or at least a banner) of my alliance to actually bear, no ? I'd just take up my furniture items with the correct symbols, tie them to a pole, and wave that around, but the game won't let me, so you have to offer an alternative. Some blueish/yellowish/reddish drapes on a stick don't count !

Thanks for doing the research for us, I'm glad I only spent Event Tickets (since they screwed up with the Undaunted Event I've only had a surplus during the most lame rewards for tickets, so these 3 emotes weren't a loss of purchase. But the AP would have been.

They absolutely won’t change the existing Legion Zero banners. Now they’ve been revealed, there’s no benefit to ZOS to change them.

It would be more politic and probably a better piece of PR for ZOS to say, “We’ve heard you, and to celebrate the success of this year’s Midyear Mayhem, we’ve created these new Actual Alliance banners so your characters can show their support for their Alliance... here they are, free”

You end up with 6 separate banner emotes, 3 for dreary Legion Zero and a new 3 with actual ‘proper’ Alliance banners.

It would be a win for everyone.

I accumilated my 10 emblems on my DC pvp character and then realised i also needed 5 tickets ...I was hoping for the DC Lion banner emote not what I got.

Im very disappointed... This zero banner means nothing to me. I fight for Daggerfall and I want all of Tamriel to know it ...I want to proudly stand in the middle of my enemies' town while holding my Silver Lion banner.

I think you misunderstand, you don't also need 5 tickets. You either get 10 emblems AND buy the 50k AP license. OR buy it for 5 event tickets.

This is a complete load of horsecrap. Obviously most if not all people will be upset with this. If everyone who bought a banner actually followed your advice, the ticket system would be backlogged for weeks just on this issue alone. There is zero inclination that this emote is supposed to be anything other than an alliance banner(not to mention a stupid legion zero banner which nobody cares about during a pvp event). Can you people do nothing right?

Tokens are selling on PC NA for 8k each. It's an easy decision for me. And I agree that there's no way they will change what people already have paid for and received.

I got one with Emblems and AP because of peer pressure. Guild mates of mine didn’t think it was a big deal and maybe we might take a group picture.

I do still want real alliance banners though.

BTW, if u already have the various alliance banners, u cant get the legion zero banners, co the game ids em as Ad, DC, etc, so too bad if u actually did want legion zero as well.

Im annoyed i wasted the emblems that took me all event to earn, and the licence fee on something i didnt want, so really not impressed

The banners are the same whether you use emblems or spent tickets at the Impresario. There were no true “alliance banners” — they were all Legion Zero/Yokudan.
