Kjalnar vs 2pc crit?

PTS won't download on my computer because it insists on downloading on the same [almost full] drive as my base game, and i've tried everything I can but it just won't work. So here I am making a lame request post on the PTS forums.

Anyone know how Kjalnar performs versus 2 crit pieces for magicka users? Obviously in close combat you use zaans, in aoe you use grothdar, for defense you use iceheart etc. but a lot of the current meta revolves around using 2 crit pieces [ie. iceheart + zaan] to get the most ranged damage possible. Kjalnar seems like it could out perform that, but I have no idea! Anyone tested this yet?

Hits really hard, 5 light attack weaves to cast, 3s cooldown. Let's just assume it's 9-10s. Bosses don't get stunned so you would get the damage when you actually need it.

The 15k tooltip, buffed with cp is likely around 20k, add damage modifiers, etc. Sounds like it hits way too hard. I'd be surprised it makes it to live.

I'd probably use this as a ranged option over 2x Crit pieces personally, but the effects/animation of the ability sells it for me on a Mag Necro. Looks like this was an ability ripped straight from necro, funny because this could of been the stun they desperately needed in their toolkit.
