Does anyone actually enjoy using elemental weapon?

I don't main a mag dps but those I've talked to really dislike ele weapon for a lot of reasons. I'm curious if this is a common opinion and if it is, why hasn't something been done about it? If it's not, what do you like about it?

If they add more time to then I might use it but as it is you press the button and the timer starts before the animation has even finished and then you need to get in a light attack in like 2 seconds and thats if it even gets to the enemy in that time

Sure because it hits hard and is cheap. I know I know, it kinda forces you to weave light attacks and just dotting enemies up is easier but oh well : )

The duration is too short, especially with lag you can use it and by the time you hit someone its gone.

I think it's important to have a weave type skill to allow those that enjoy that playstyle to be effective. The skill is a hit or miss depending on the player and their setup.

I personally think its annoying to use, but it's also really easy to weave with it.

The 2 second is way to low with LAG or to burst combos. I would like to see it increase to 5 seconds. Also this could easily become my favorite skill if the magic version morph guarantee a status effect of the staff type your using. This would instantly make this the most use skill for a heavy attack build. As is now the r&g is 2 random to be skillful and useful to build to a strength of the unique status effects morph.

When I went from Force Pulse to Ele Weapon I hated it, and honestly I still do. Going from a Light Attack to the Ele Weapon doesn't feel smooth at all, but for the sake of higher DPS we use it anyways.

I rarely use it but when the situation calls for it I don't have any issues running it.

No feels clunky, I would rather see you fire something out like an orb a (a sort of primer) that hits the target then goes off when you light attack.

Or even when you use the skill an orb floats around you and fires off with your light attack

The skill at the mo feels and looks just like you are just light attacking, and can only tell if you are actually hitting with it is if you see the blue energy explosion, which can be hard if the target has a million and one other effects on or you see them damage numbers pop up.

No its awful but the best for DPS on my Mag-Sorc so I have to use it. I hate how its laggy and annoying to use. Hopefully something single cast comes along like Force Pulse.

Why not force pulse? It's what I usually use when I run mag dps. The cleave is really nice.

Enjoy? Not exactly. I can weave it quite well now though, so it gives about as much enjoyment as any other button click.

The animation is slow and clunky and feels unresponsive in low FPS situations (when big fights are happening with lots of effects that's almost always the case) and even a little bit of lag can make your light attacks not trigger in time.

As someone forced to play the game with high ping, I always hated it since it became a must for DPS.

I'd prefer to be able to use my own's class spammable again, like I was able to do 2 or 3 years ago.

I quite like the skill to be honest. I made build around light attacks and the ability really works well with it. Add into the fact I use a flame staff with it and the ability weaves nicely with my combat style. Hit them really hard from long range.

Wow.....I'm shocked at the hate! I really like it, it does good damage, it gets better the better you are at playing so it's rewards practice, there's a little bit of flexibility built into the timer (although granted not much), all around it was a clever addition to the toolkit and it will be my spammable unless they kill it

I voted no, I like the skill in theory and being able to front-load a bit of extra burst in pvp but as others have said, with the short 2 sec timer it often runs out before it hits for me in pvp due to lag etc

Hate it. It's clunky, sounds awful, and relies on light attacks that are buggy af.

I'd like it a lot more if it was a simple 30 sec Major Sorcery + Empower self-buff.

I think I use it, the little sphere balls certainly gather around when I try to, thats about the only way I know its hitting...

It seems like a lot of people don't understand that the 2 seconds only applies to how long you have to cast the light attack after you cast the ability and doesn't have anything to do with how long it takes for the light attack to hit the enemy.

It’s one of my fav abilities for my lightning mage... especially using it with overload.
