Proper - How Hyped Are You For The New Chapter?

I'm in the "Don't Care" because the 2 new skill lines won't live up to the others, just adds more to the roleplay side of the game.

I'm not convinced I can justify spending the same price for Morrowind and Elsweyr on a Chapter that has even less gameplay-changing features than Summerset.

Although I support this as a good way to give feedback to Zos regarding new chapter, we should stop spamming, hype will be measured through prepurchase by guy crunching numbers in excel.

The other threads had no hype and players were annoyed over that. I agree sales numbers will talk................ Heres the thing... The skyrim name will be milked and casuals will by it that never played at all over that.

Nothing wrong with role players getting new stuff. Not everything has to be about combat. Still though, I know they will find a way to make it overly grindy and disappointing.

Rivenspire was one of my favorite zones, which is why I might finally quit PVP (5 years of it) and just PVE... It seems PVP was abandon.

I'm def interested in the Antiquities system and how it will reveal more of the lore of earlier eras. I hope the rewards are just as nice

And from what I've seen so far, both Skyrim and Blackreach look amazing. Just like with Morrowind, I def wanna make comparisons with the single player game

All in all, I'm rather excited for this update. I just hope ZOS can deliver...

No reason to come back.

No meaningful work on class/weapon abilities.
No regard to performance issues.
No meaningful reason to PvP, since the teams are red, blue, yellow, instead of guilds fighting to control the world of the mmorpg. Cyrodiil is just another optional battleground for streaming.

A game of beautiful graphics is catering to people that want an extremelly easy singleplayer rpg with coop mode and people that have fasion/renovation fetishes.

0 passion from the devs. Business only.

Not hyped - I’m pleased that the game lives on but whether a patch is good, bad or indifferent depends entirely on the changes to skills, sets etc. imo.

The devil, if there will be one, will be in those details 😈

So until I see the PTS patch notes I don’t have much of any opinion beyond thinking more content is more.

I’m not currently hyped but I can become sufficiently hyped enough to purchase at full price once I learn more. Currently, it’s at “no from me dawg”, with a small glimmer of “maybe when it goes on sale at least 30%”

The chapters are different, and while people try to equate them, it is really personal preference.

Warden and Necromancer classes are nice. I really like both of them. I did Undaunted with a Warden and my current main is a Necromancer However, let's be frank. The biggest difference between the classes is whether they are magicka or stamina. You can go on about which class is the best for min/max, or healing, or tanking, or PVP, but that can, and does, change at any moment. The fact that Greymoor does not have a new class is fine with me, and it would be acceptable to me if ESO never introduced another class. At least, not until they decided to do significant class identity.

They all have a trial, so that is a wash. If Greymoor had no trial, it would not matter to me. It does, though.

Bonus skill lines. Morrowind had none. Summerset had two, Psijic and Jewelry. Elsweyr had none. Greymoor has two, but both associated with Antiquities. I do consider the Vamp revamp associated with Greymoor, even though it is base game. The reason is that it is so closely tied with the story of Greymoor that it seems silly to do one without the other.

Jewelry crafting is probably the worst skill in the game. I don't know what they were thinking, but that whole skill line never latched with me. I have no characters that are proficient in it. I view it as an insane grind leading to a limited reward. I almost forgot to include it in this comment, and had to look up which chapter it came with. That is how little I think about it.

I do have characters that know Psijic, but mainly just because it is easy to get. I have no characters that actually use the skill line. I thought it would be something I used, but it is not. I don't need it.

I am thinking that Antiquities, which is less than Jewelry + Psijic, has more impact than both, combined. I will probably use Antiquities, where I am not using Jewlery or Psijic. On top of that, I am expecting that I will get longer use out of Antiquities than Psijic, and it will be more rewarding than Jewelry.

I expect quests, daily quests, world bosses, dungeons, and delves to be about the same across all the Chapters. Like Summerset, Greymoor will have a "special" Dark Anchor event. I prefer the dragons, but it is too much to expect ZOS to pull out something like that with every new chapter that comes along.

Relative land area is not as important to me as others. I know that any Zone that ZOS rolls out will be filled with inaccessible areas and locked doors. In this, they think bigger than they can deliver. That said, I expect that the zone in Greymoor will be more interesting than Summerset or Elsweyr, and maybe larger. Greymoor will be underground in a large Blackreach area, and that is not to be ignored. I will probably prefer Vvardenfell over all of them, though. The mountain in the center gets a bad rap, but it is a zone you can get lost in. (Figuratively, not literally)

I purchased Summerset, and looking back, that is the weakest of the Chapters. Elsweyr was an improvement, but I don't think it was as good as Morrowind. Right now, I am putting Greymoor between Elsweyr and Morrowind. If they hype pans out, it will stay there.

No new weapons (like 1hRune or spellcrafting or spears or scepters for dw magicka builds)?

A skill line based on running around the whole map (remember the terrible grind for psijic)?

I literally came back from a hiatus hoping that Dark Heart of Skyrim would make this game interesting again... and it's nothing exciting at all.

Well, I'll give the PTS a try- but if it's still as boring as the rest... there's always that new MMORPG- New World. It's coming out around the same time as DHoS.

I look forward to playing it, but I still haven't finished anything since Murkmire. I really enjoy Murkmire. I've just been doing other things in life and in gaming. I haven't even completed the most recent 4 dungeons from DLCs.

I normally would preorder from GMG now that they have the 18% off preorder offer available, but I might as well skip the chapter until there are big sales and I am caught up on other content.

I am generally happy with where the game is. Still, I think inventory management, even while subbed, is a big part of why I have run out of gas.

None hyped. Seems these chapters are steadily declining in content from one to the next. Everything Bethesda and Zenimax-adjacent appears to be on the skids. You’d think they could at least afford competent PR. The complete lack of new combat features is a major sore spot for me, and PVP will be a dead fish for another year.

I'm coming to grips that my favourite part of ESO is storytelling will mostly be a pass for me. I will be buying the game but won't be doing the main story if it follows some cheesy 1990 vampire crap. I will be doing the delves and side quest that are not too dark. I will be doing dungeons and playing with the new skill line that's all about lore and puzzles. Going to have to cherry pick what does not make me gag. And every option I get to kill a Vampire, good or not, will be heads rolling. Only vampire is a dead one.

Too expensive for what it offers, of which none of it seems really impactful, at least initially.

The Antiquities system might be nice once it's fleshed out more, could breathe a fresh of air into the game from a gearing standpoint and offer some unique gear options, but it really needs time to be properly fleshed out, for it to be worth it, IMO.

Vamp rework might be nice, but it's not part of the expansion, it's a base game update, and so it can't really be considered into the value of the expansion.

If ESO manages to get itself back on track -- ie fix performance, bugs, balance, and make the game enjoyable again -- I might get it at a pretty hefty discount. But it's not worth launch price, IMO.

I don't let myself get hyped. less disappointment that way. however, i AM looking forward to new chapter and I'm very happy to see more of Lyris, Rigurt and Gabrielle. I'm just not.. hyped about it. (to be fair, I'm not really hyped about anything nowadays, see first sentence of my reply. cautiously excited is as far as I go)
