SypherPK at ESO event?

Anyone know why? A PvP streamer who finally gave up on ESO PvP a long time ago and has been very successfully streaming not-ESO for a long time? Are they gonna shove Deltia out on the stage as well and say "Remember him? He used to like us too"? If there's going to be a streamer representing PvP (which maybe I'm just assuming that's what this is) shouldn't it be someone who streams the game and plays PvP?

Weird, weird guest at an Elder Scrolls event. Great gamer, great streamer, but he doesn't do either in ESO.

Possibly to draw in players, new and old, to eso. Just now, he has approximately 3.6k viewers on a non-eso game. I really can't say, but that is my guess. Either way, it's a good way to get the word out.

I don’t know the specifics of him attending, or if he even is, like was he invited or just want to attend himself, but it makes sense if he was invited from a marketing perspective. Considering he has a different audience than say Fengrush and others that stream ESO PvP full time almost, it would be advantageous to want to introduce the game to new players if he was to talk about it on stream or via tweets.

He was streaming ESO a bit last week or so if I recall.

But I don't understand going with him over some of the other streamers... Perhaps he has a friendlier relationship with ZOS despite no longer playing the game regularly than some of the bigger names in ESO content creation?

Yeah, he's a literal who for me as well.

With Deltia gone, the first PVPers that come to my mind are Dottz and Fengrush. But it's possible they can't make it to Vegas? I find it hard to think they weren't invited, so I can only imagine SypherPK is just the only guy who said yes.

Just from the marketing standpoint I can see the reasoning. What's the point of inviting streamers already heavily invested into ESO? Their audience is already going to be interested anyway. On the other hand, inviting someone who has a lot of following but is not really focused on ESO is bound to put the game on the radar for a lot of people who weren't previously interested/aware.

And considering Deltia, I'm pretty sure that if ZOS were to tell him how good of a spot templars got this patch he would be rushing to the shed to grab a shovel and start digging that templar out. With his current form it won't be a difficult task either.

Well, he’s famous now, from other games not eso. But if ninja the Fortnite player gonna show up on eso event, it’ll attract more people to wanna go, despite he plays eso or not. Same logic imo.
Can ZOS afford ninja to come, prob not, but sypher yea, not impossible

Sypher is the only popular streamer that at least knows remotely something about eso. He can make it look interesting for his viewers.

Sure they're paying Sypher and he absolutely should take that, but even he had to wonder at some point "Why me?".
ESO is very far in his rear view.
I don't think he's gonna be a shill, and I don't know what he could honestly say having been removed for so long. I guess we'll find out, it just seemed so weird.

    Who?

    Exactly.

The guy they SHOULD have - who represents the PVP side of the community more than, well... ANYONE - has more viewers ATM, than all other Stream Team members combined during an event with drops on.

It’s weird that they are still trying to represent this side of the game... buuuuut with someone who isn’t even playing anymore.

    S.

Sounds likely that the guy they 'SHOULD' have is likely being viewed by people who already watch/play ESO.

I have a sneaking suspicion that from a marketing perspective they would consider the value in being exposed to a wider audience/player base.

    Just a thought.

I’d say that if even if only 75% of the people interested in watching the stream on any given day bought the new $60 Chapter, it’d be a 200k+ R.O.that.I.

It’s just a really strange thing to treat in this manner, IMHO.

Who cares really? How many streamers have been brought on that never even played the game at all ? This is only a “problem “ because it’s Sypher, we never see these conversations any other time when some random streamer is streaming eso.

Why do you even care? Just move on.

    well said,
    all truth.
most of the problems we have Resolved in eso was created from the older-day years ago streamers playstyles.
we finally are no longer involved with that type of thinking, and it shows in the advancements of builds and playstyles far better than what we knew existed, and starting to create our own new way of playstyles in eso.
especially in pvp. allowing people to learn pvp and pve multiple builds and fighting styles ingame instead of cookie cutter playstyles and builds. we now instead make our own builds and learning to think how to fight better without those influences that destroyed most of what the developers intended. it took years to change the problems that were created.

best in slot: is the armor, weapon, clothing look, pet, or no pet, jewelry, race, class, skill choices, amount of DPS, and skin color best fit to you and the way you wish to play and makes you feel good and performs what YOU think it should be.

worst in slot: what you read in zone chat, and forum comment, and forum thread, and you tube video, and live streamer advice, and class rep advice, and guild chat advice, and whisper told you to wear, and use for skill, and dress like, and use for weapon and armor.

If anyone should be streaming it has to be Current PVP streamers. Yes Sypher has 2mil+ following and I used to watch him but still makes no sense why would they invite someone who has been out of game for too long unless he is making a comeback.
PVP in ESO for me is definitely better than those bananas hopping in Fortnite.
