Agreed. IRL was pretty decent early on, but it quickly became P2W and very grindy. Would not recommend.

Guilty, your honor. Just raising my 12nd alt, to have two for each class (one Magicka and one Stamina). All have mages guild, fighter guild, Undaunted level 9, vampirism or Lycanthropy when needed, Psijic level 10, level 50 crafting, medicinal use passive and enough skill points to unlock all the skills and passives needed. I've played trough 5 years (totalling an embarrassing amount of playtime) 10 of them in PvP, Imperial city and battlegrounds, and, I've to tell you, I'm absolutely in love with this game, and with every class and spec (they are all wonderful and, despite what people are saying, quite well balanced because every class has its Pro and its cons)

I always become obsessed with any game I play. TES - well, I've been obsessed/addicted since Arena released. Along with ESO I'm still playing Skyrim and Oblivion....

Not addicted have my fair share of breaks from the game.

Not a lot of games hold my attention these days, especially with streaming sites giving me seemingly endless hours of TV to watch when I have free time.

I think I was addicted to ESO. Played almost every day for over four-and-a-half years. I sometimes played what I feel now was an unhealthy number of hours at a stretch.

A couple of months ago it was feeling too much like work, and I was having something of a love-hate relationship with ESO. So I decided to step away for a while, cancelled my sub, and now I usually just log on a character for the daily reward, but I no longer obsess about getting them all. I'll wait and see what I feel like when the new chapter releases.

Not at all. ESO is simply a tool or place for my character to live. She has adventured in numerous medieval fantasy worlds and games for many years, even writing extensively of her adventures. If/when a better game comes along, she will move again.

What she seeks is a massive medieval fantasy world she will not outgrow in a few years (like she outgrew Oblivion and Skyrim) that is open world, has a fun combat system and is single player. At the moment, ESO checks all the right boxes except single player - and no game is going to be perfect.

Now, am I addicted to my character? You betcha!

I cancelled my sub until the performance fixes are fully implimented. I play casually now. Much less stressful. Plus, I like spending time with my friends.
