Legit starting to develop anger issues when fighting templars...

I just can't stand it anymore. I am so sick of seeing how EZ mode this class is especially when multiple templars all show up in the same team. I am sick of hearing their skills go off to the point i physically and actually want to puke.

ZOS, can you please do something? Hell, nerf every other class with it while you're at it, idc. Just raise the damn skillfloor. I am legitimately losing my mind over this single class, and I've been even going to the point where I start whispering templars with hate tells.

Every class can kill me, so leave that out. I just hate KNOWING how easy it is to actually play templar. It's frustrating, its nervewrecking, its dissatisfying, boring and extremely and utterly disappointing.

Free snare on spammable.
Passive Healing.
High Burst Potential.
Cheapest Ultimate due to its effectivity.
Insane utility.
Unkillable tank healers.
Half their skills cannot be dodged.
Where does this end?

Indeed it is, I admit I am actually starting to feel things I never felt before. In the wrong sense. I can't get a grip anymore. And only when fighting templars. I wonder how come.

Try a warden, and instead of looking at everyone else's chosen class/skill, know how to work yours to counter, there IS a counter for pretty much every skill in the game, you just have to see that some skills and passives, that can be used in another way then their description suggest :)

Take a break bud, you seem to be getting burned out. Go play another game for a while and come back next patch, I would suggest GTA online. As a side note we don't need nerfs on Templar, the class really hasn't changed too much over the years...it's just everything else has been nerfed into the ground. Buff other classes and leave Templar as it is. As a community we should really stop asking for nerfs on everything that kills us, that's what got us where we are now.

Actually my next char will be a templar. Im too old to be relevant with classes that need 12 abilities just to stay alive :)

I'm not asking for a nerf here. I just want the skillfloor raised. The class gets way too many freepasses. Why do I have to work twice as hard as any other class than templar to achieve the same effectivity?

Sure, you can ask ZOS to nerf everything you don't like, but to be perfectly frank, you are the one in charge of your own reactions to what's going on in a video game you willingly play.

If you aren't happy with how you are reacting to gameplay, you can take immediate constructive steps to deal with your own reactions on a personal level in a way that's best for you. Regardless of what ZOS does or doesn't do. Especially since, practically speaking, nothing is going to change in Templar skills until the next update rolls out anyways so you'll have to keep dealing with the sight and sounds for weeks to come.

By all means, vent and call for nerfs if you want. My preferred steps are to take a break or play with friends until I remember the parts of ESO I enjoy and that even the competitive parts of PVP are just a game that I play for fun. YMMV.

Tbh, I do better on my Stamden than I do on my Stamplar. I can hit outrageous weapon damage numbers on him, and warden heals are also very strong. But nobody calls Stamden OP do they? You're being a little hyperbolic here. Btw, everything has a counter.

Because it takes more effort on a stamden than stamplar to play. That's why I would never callout stamdens.

I have two templars that I PvP with and I have been effectively countered and killed many many times by all sorts of classes, but perhaps I am terrible at this game. I find my Sorc easiest to play, actually.

I used to hate sorcs too but that was all purely on me. Maybe i just suck too and can't figure out how to counter templars. I just never felt so angry about anything in a videogame before. Not once in my life. Maybe it's also ESO's stupid micro-delay on everything. Cause am I mad AF when i keep getting damaged while already out of LOS all the time.

Would be nice to actually relax again. As I used to.

ESO is pure trash as a PVP game because the floor is so high, resulting in extremely long TTKs (time to kill). Show me a popular PVP game with such ridiculous survivability. I used to be addicted to ESO PVP and now thinking about it makes me want to vomit. No joke.

It goes deeper than Templars. Starting around 2.4 ZOS made a concerted effort to "raise the floor and lower the ceiling" in ESO. This is a fact as those words, in context, have been used by senior ZOS devs. This means they engineered changes to gameplay with the purpose of reducing the amount of knowledge and skill required to be competitive while also limiting how effective the most knowledgeable and skilled players can be.

IMO, ESO PVP is mainly played by PVE-focused players motivated by the rewards. I don't think very many ESO PVP players enjoy other PVP games -- because they have lower floors and higher ceilings.

jab spammers are a pain thats for sure, but the advantage is they only know how to press 1 key, so a few ranged attacks and a cc immunity and a good hard hitting execute they usually run or die or both lol

The pendulum swings back and forth. Templars were not always as powerful as they are, and give it another patch or two and they'll be brought back to a point where they need to be buffed again, which inevitably will lead us back to this point.

Huh.. Its my main class but I have been laughing on my stamblade lately when I get one on me as I find them easiest to counter. I know they are going to want to spam jabs on me to try to prevent cloak so I just shadow image, roll dodge into forward momentum sprint maybe if they have some speed, crouch, cloak, shade. Or I just roll through them and keep them thirsty as I lead them right to friendlies. I know if I don't eat a bunch of damage while PL is on me, its not going to hurt much, and the ones whos jabs hurt, I probably can burst If I get the initiative and stun then stick to their back.

To be fair; I like fighting them on my templar as well. There are some really good ones who will beat you either way, but there is a lot more who think clutching on sweeps is enough.

    Free snare on spammable.
snare only hits once then has a cool down

    Passive Healing.
sorcs have twilight burst heal, duel wield has passive heal from blood thirsty, warden have lotus blossom, Necro has spirit mender

    High Burst Potential.
all class's have a high burst potential just depends on how you build

Cheapest Ultimate due to its effectivity.
NB has Soul Harvest (70), sorc has Overload (25) wardens have Eternal Guardian (0), Dragon knights has leap (125)

    Insane utility.
wardens, necro's and sorc's all have awesome utility also.

    Unkillable tank healers.
heavy armour DK's, wardens, necro's and sorcs ALL have "unkillable" builds,

Half their skills cannot be dodged.
all class's have these type of skills.

    Where does this end?

Someone needs to write up a guide detailing every Class's counters so everyone has an idea what to do when they get to be in OP's position. As far as I've ever seen, many people say "I play said class and I get countered all the time. I get beaten all the time, we don't need nerfs." but never actually say HOW they're countered.

Just last night I was in the Imp City engaging a Templar inside a house. Dude started doing the Jabs spam and I tried doing the whole "walk through them and they miss" thing. Didn't do crap. There's nothing my StamBlade can do to a Jabs spam short of trying to run away, but even then the first hit of Jabs is a snare, slowing you down. You CAN'T get away. It's an "I win" button.

As someone who struggled immensely against jab spam for the longest time I offer you a bit of stamblade advice. *clears throat* shade and a snare removal skill. Pull the fight from your shade, Use the snare removal skill to create distance. And if it gets too heated? Port back and reset. No cloak needed.
