What class did you fall in love with after playing?

We all have main characters, this may be one that you invested the most time and resources with or maybe it’s one that you just connected with and created a backstory for. There is a variety of classes and play styles in ESO and I wanted to take this time to discuss all our favorite characters. So what class did you play that you immediately fell in love with? What made you enjoy that class more than others?

For me, I bounced around from class to class unable to find one I was drawn to. I later made a Magicka Warden and I just immediately fell in love. I enjoyed the skill trees and the ability to play a Frost mage, and I loved all the creatures that you could summon. Most importantly, I loved the animations, everything looks so cool to cast from Frost Cloak, Soothing Spores, to Bird of Prey, they all look absolutely amazing. I really thought I was going to enjoy Nightblade but I ended up playing that class the least. Same with Necromancer, I thought I was going to enjoy it but the corpse gameplay just feels like a chore to me.

So WHO is your favorite character? Did you fill the ability bar with world or guild skills to fill your desired backstory role? What did you add to the character to make them stand out (personalities, outfits, titles, etc)? If you haven’t clicked with any class, what class would you pray for in the future if another would be implemented? :)

There is a ten option poll limit so please specify magicka or stamina if you want to tell your story!

Thanks everyone, enjoy your weekend!

    I have enjoyed:

    Nightblade
    Warden
    Necromancer
    Non-pet Sorcerer
    Templar

The only thing I just can't seem to enjoy is a DK. Their class abilities just leave me.... meh

@Bouldercleave I used to enjoy them, their abilities used to feel very impactful, now they feel like a shell of their former selves. Wings being a prime example.

Have to qualify my answer with the addition that it must be magblade, and preferably melee magblade. While I'd never say stamblade is easy, it does have a "same old" rogue playstyle to it. Melee magblade has always been difficult if not near impossible at various stages of this game's development. I like the challenge of trying to make off-meta underdog builds perform. Tell me it can't be done and I'll try it.

Stam Sorc. I dunno how I got started on a Stam Sorc, since my first one was on a Breton character who would seem to be a natural mage.

But pre-One Tamriel when all the mobs were level-locked and even a couple levels above you were nearly impossible, by level 17 my Hurricane was shredding enemies and tearing through quest chains to the point that I hit the artificial miss chance that ZOS put in to keep players from fighting enemies of too high a level. If it weren't for that, my Stam Sorc would've kept on trucking.

I love my MagDK main, but StamSorc was the surprise class that I fell in love with.

I LOVE my Magcro. Skills look amazing and it is great for solo play.

However, before this, I was a StamSorc, much for the same reasons.

I would have to say the NB. It was my third and fourth character I rolled in 2014 with a magicka and stam version and more since. Regardless if the class was strong or weak at the time I still enjoy it the most.

After I rolled the first one as magicka I quickly leveled a second one when word came out that some class morphs would have stamina morphs. While both played differently I enjoyed the NB playstyle. Granted, some aspects I enjoyed have been removed but I still like the class.

Warden, but only because it's the only nature based class. A lot of the skills are just..meh. Then again a lot of the other class skills kinda feel the same way so it's the best I have available.

I was a magdk healer at pc launch which was alright and then moved on to really maining a templar (mag and stam) but I got really tired of jabs all the time. The warden is what kept me active in the game even though I'm not totally thrilled with it.

The first character I created on the PC beta was a DK. I became a Nightblade main as soon as I used Teleport Strike for the first time. Unfortunately ZOS has gutted that class so much it's not fun to play anymore. I'm waiting for a new class to catch my interest or for them to fix what they broke.

I love the templar because it fits the RPG side for me, im a practicing Christian, i try im not a perfect, im certianly a sinner. So the templar as a holy warrior is really fun for me, thats why templar is my main toon. But the Dragonknight is really fun to play especially as a fire dps, i run a magknight dark elf, and even though i suck at rotaions, between my sets and weapons, i burn up bad guys pretty quick. Wardens and necros are fun to play as certainly for the animations and RPing

    Magicka Sorcerer since the beginning.

I always liked magic in rpg games plus summoner/necromancer types. So when I saw "Sorcerer" as a class, it wasn't really difficult to choose :D

Though I had no clue about the game or skills while I was choosing, it turned out fantastic

Stealthy wood elf nightblade, until ZOS killed the Bosmer lore.

They gave my guy a worthless PvP only racial passive, since no NPCs can be bothered to hide, and he was a PvE thief/assassin. So I turned him into a werewolf instead, and then they rendered that playstyle irrelevant. So he's retired and only does crafting.
    RIP Bosmer Nation. 4/4/14 - 2/25/19.

Magden <3 Created mine with the intent of only using her to try vMA and I fell in love almost immediately. In all other RPGs I play a stealth archer/melee character, so I started my ESO career on a stamblade and mained her for almost a year. I never expected to love the Warden class (it seemed kinda hokey with the bear and stuff, and I still don't love the bear, but I digress...) nor did I expect to enjoy a magicka class; I play stamina-based almost exclusively across games.

This sounds incredibly cheesy to type, but magden just feels... right. I've got experience playing stamblade, magblade, stamplar, magplar, stamDK, magDK, and stamden, and while a lot of them are fun to play on, magden feels the most natural to me and there aren't times when I feel shaky in combat. The flow of combat is nice and the toolkit is insane, making it incredibly versatile; I can think of only two skills that I have no use for (Frozen Gate and the Tarzan vine thing).

    Yeah... I'm fanatical.

Hated Nightblade with a passion for the longest time...until I played one.

Now I absolutely love the class, in PvP AND in PvE.

Sure, other classes are better, and can do things more efficiently. But when I'm looking to just have fun, I keep coming back to nightblade.

    Dragonknight
I originally played a Nightblade cause Nightblades are cool. After about a year or two I made a sorcerer and it felt like a breath of fresh air. It was very fast paced and I could actually kill people in PVP!!! ((Later I learned it was because mage's wrath was a good kill stealing long range spammable, but I never could truly kill anyone till I got better.))

Then I rolled a Dragonknight... This Dragonknight was originally going to be a character I used in Roleplaying and was not meant to really be anything. I tried a pure stamina build on her for fun but it never quite clicked as I enjoyed the magicka sorcerer a lot. Half a year went by and I changed the character to a magicka build and that's when everything took off.

Now I main a MagDK that uses a flame staff with elemental weapon as the primary way of dealing damage, but then include things like searing flames, fossilize, volatile armor, and several other skills that make the class incredibly fun to play. I can DPS, Heal, and Tank depending on what gear I'm wearing and can take anything head on after mastering the class. I find it hard to play anything else.

My first character was a MagSorc and I really like him too, but I found my class when I built my Stamplar. I really like the idea of playing a Holy Warrior. I even made a backstory for him where he's a follower of Meridia and has a strong distaste for the undead, I even named him Throngar Meridius in reverence to the Lady of Light. It goes without saying that he doesn't get along with my Necromancer at all.

    P.S.- I know I'm a nerd.

Nightblade. It's a really fun, versatile class.

The aesthetic of the spells is also quite restrained compared to other classes too, which is a big plus for me.

I run a Redguard in the class. I don't know why but it just feels right for the game's setting.

Love the lore aspects even if Lore is not all it was intended lately with Racial & Class nerfs. I've had to reconcile the loss of stealth, loss in ranged damage from stealth in exchange for simply being a roly poly nightblade with less than robust NB skills.

Still I pray to Y'ffre for his guidance and have adapted as best as can be.
