I see you visited my Antiquarian's on the 26th. Thank you for taking the time and commenting, it is always such a pleasure to have visitors .
You were absolutely right, it is a shrine, somewhat inspired by all those beautiful Japanese shrines and particularly by Nara.
The first small shrine on the left is what I believe a Chôzuya where you purify yourself with water. Further inside there is incense or "osenko" that is supposed to be good for you health when inhaled. There are gongs and a drum and a main shrine for the greatest spirit of all, the Wolf, and smaller ones outside for other animals. And like in Nara, there are deers (or Indriks) walking freely and always hungry so.. please take care of your maps and travel guides or they'll just eat those…:p
