Anyone think they're adding vampirelords

Argonianwerecroc212
I believe if they add it they will either make it a polymorph or rework the current vampire ultimate to make it serve as werewolf like ult where vampire Lord will be a morph of bat swarm.

I'd be surprised if they figured out the flying/hovering animations for a Dawnguard DLC-style Vampire Lord polymorph for players to use. Even in Skyrim it tended to be rather buggy when interacting with objects.

Now if there are other types of Vampire lords we haven't seen that don't require playing with ESO's physics, sure, it's possible.

Honestly I would want to see it just to see how they implement it ,but I think this dlc will probably be a daedric quest dealing with cultists and stuff and I have a feeling with werebears being added as a enemy if anything to be honest

I do not and hope not. The "hulk out and morph into a big monster" thing while cute in aspect is a very cheap and boring solution. They could do much better and much more with Vampires.

Polymorph would be easy money. They probably will cook something like that up eventually. It could act like the clockwork polymorphs by having a unique personality and emotes associated with it. Would probably be grounded even with weapons put away.

A vampire lord skill line would require the introduction of a new bloodline, which isn't impossible, but just like the werewolf behemoth it probably won't be accessible to the player character. Now that I think about it ZOS might just make a memento just like they did for the behemoth.

Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

And this, my fine sir, is precisely the reason why vampire needs a rework/an option for players wanting to play a vampire for their playstyle.

It needs to be to where players take vampire because they want to be a vampire, not to just "max out on stats". It should allow for a new play style and IMO have a full 5 skills plus ult with passives that work off of those skills.

The fact that, as you said, every magicka player is a vampire for no reason other than getting max stat refreshing is absurd and honestly kinda bad design. Because it removes player choice. Players shouldn't have to choose between getting max stat refreshing/OP passives or not. They should be able to choose to get the vampire play style open to them or not, though.

I don't see a reason to make it a class and or an additional game mechanic. Vampires are always walking around as vampires and werewolves transform into werewolves.

I don t think they can be balanced right and therefore they won t implement it.
The problem is either the tone it up to much and everyone and their dog is a vampirelord or tone it down and nobody wants to do that. Some rare roleplayers aside that just do or avoid this because of the flair.
Of course they can have them start overpowered and nerf them half a year later. But I hope DOS learned from mistakes and avoids that.

How exactly it has ruined vampires in TES? Because Dawnguard was one of the best DLCs in TES series according to my own personal opinion and online ratings. That quest line would still crush 95% of silly content eso has and it would make a DB quest line looking like a fairy tale for children in kindergarten.

I would like ZOS to review the Vampire skill line so it actually made sense.

Most of my characters are stage 4 vampires solely because of the passives. They have never fed. They do not behave as vampires and it plays no part in any of their gameplay.

The way the stages work is utterly nonsensical, I get more powerful the less vampiring I do. There is entirely no need to feed. No wonder there are no criminal implications to being a vampire.

I should have to feed to maintain my power. And I should look fantastic once I have fed. And any vampiric activity should incur criminal penalties. I should be more detectable the longer I starve. Stage 1 should see me ugly and weak and obvious, Stage 4 I am powerful, seductive and look great. That is how the skill line should work.

Right now it’s just a buff with an ugly face.
