Why is one of my characters slower?

I have a runner armour (Fjord+Darkstride) set on all of my characters, with all 3 jewellry pieces transmuted to swift. All of my chars have the Wildrunning champion perk.
I have noticed one of my characters consistently sprints at noticeably slower speed than the others (all gear equipped and stuff).

I'm 99% sure it's not a gear problem (I can't see anything wrong, everyone has the medium armour passives, everything is equipped). Could it be some sort of a bug?

    You checked cp?
Is it a necro? There was a slow run bug on them.
Is it actually slower or is it a bigger character so it LOOKS slower. My Bosmer SEEM faster than my Imperials n

Maybe all of your characters are Orcs, except for the slower one? That's legit the only thing I can come up with right now, if they all wear the same medium armor set and all have the same perks.
This poor little Bosmer stealth passive had passionate friends and a big loving family!

Install add-on with speed measurement and check. (I am using Minimap by Fyrakin for this)

Which mundus stone do you have active on your slower character?

Do you usually run the Steed mundus stone on your characters and perhaps that one was changed to a different one?

I hate to sound like a noob, because I should probably know the answer to this by now, but does Stamina affect a character's speed? I have a character whose APs are invested almost exclusively into Stamina, and I've noticed that he runs faster than my other characters who don't have as many APs invested into Stamina. And I realize that Stamina indirectly affects speed in that faster Stamina Regeneration lets a character sprint longer before running out of Stamina, but I'm not asking about how long a character can sprint, rather how fast.

Are your stamina characters in medium armor? Medium armor has a passive that increases your speed.

I have definitely noticed some of my characters are slower than other's, seems to be my older ones are slower especially the altmer characters. Started noticing it around the time they made those adjustments to maximum sprint speed and whatnot.

Conversely, I have a wood elf who just seems like he's faster. (At one point he was due to some weird bug in Cyrodiil.) It might be a visual quirk due to their relative size. Similar to how low to the ground mounts feel zippier than high off the ground mounts.

In skyrim, speed was tied to how tall your character was. Maybe eso is similar.

Ah, that must be it! All of the other non-mule characters I regularly play with wear heavy armor, but this character does in fact wear medium armor. Not only can he run faster, but he can run practically forever because of his high Stamina Regeneration.

There is a workaround for the weapon between feet bug.

Don't ask why... but it works, 100%.

I was gonna say check each character's FoV setting. A higher one gives the illusion youre not traversing as fast as a lower FoV.

Yes,also un-equipping then re-equipping the weapon is a temporary fix if you like your hat!

The speed loss issue is most noticeable in 1st person mode.

ESO started out as a PC only game, but got a PS4 and Xbox version later. When those two console servers were created it was possible to transfer your account to them, but only at that time.

It doesn't hide your hat, only if you're in a polymorph form that has a hat. Which almost no one uses polymorphs.

i wish this was true for anyone that builds to tank and be more tanky and more defences.
    they SHOULD move slower.
the less defenses we have the faster we should be able to move.
    it just makes sense.
