So I just got a new PC, updated all the drivers, downloaded the installation file (install_ESO.exe), run it and when it finished, this message appeared: Unable to execute the desired program. Please get another copy of the installer and try again.
I followed all the steps provided by help in this link https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/34087/ and it didn't work.
Any suggestions or workaround for this issue?

Since safe mode did not help in getting ESO to work, we suggest opening a ticket with customer support if you've not done so yet.
I just tried to get into customer support to open a ticket, but I can't log in. When asked to sign in, I type my user name and password, click Log In, and it just stays there and do nothing. I waited a for a while, tried again, and nothing happened.
This is getting very frustrating.0 -
Found a workaround to this extremely frustrating problem.
Just downloaded the launcher folder provided by user noorcoenb16_ESO from this link https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/321202/solution-steam-windows-10-elder-scrolls-online-is-preparing-to-install-crash-at-100-downloaded ran the launcher from there and was ready to go.
It didn't do a proper install, but at least I have access to the game now.
Zenimax, you really need to fix this issue. It's ridiculous that the game cannot be installed using the official installer and instead of fixing it on your behalf, we need to go through a lot of steps that don't actually fix the problem.
