Why doesn't bar swap cancel Dark Exchange?

Obviously a great skill, but feels clunky when swapping bars. You can cancel it with block, why not with bar swap?

I've noticed this too, but I think this is intended when they nerfed it way back

its actually a cast time not a channel, but channels like time stop and deep thoughts can be cancelled with bar swap.

It's very clunky. Both morphs are very good, but very clunky since you simply can't switch bars.

I rarely ever use it, but it's not always easy to avoid. ZOS is insistent on ani canceling being a big part of the game so they should apply it evenly.

yeah, its a good skill but I don't get why the bar lock with it. Either have it continue with the animation with the bar swap or have the bar swap cancel it(and not get the resources), either way it would eliminate the clunkingness of the skill.
