I find it strange all these complaints about faction lock.
Zos opened a CP campaign without it (faction lock) already. I find it odd to hear "Zos needs to remove faction lock". If it wasn't wanted, why hasn't there been a mass exodus to this unlocked 30 day CP campaign?
I just find it super weird that they've already given this option. If it remains dead, doesn't that actually speak to what the players want? I mean, the only difference between the campaigns is a lock...the entire "home" campaign argument used in the past doesn't make any sense anymore. If it's dead, doesn't that show those asking for an unlocked campaign are a minority?

I'm just not understanding. Zos has given what was asked for. A unlocked 30 day CP campaign. Why haven't players moved there? Isn't that what was wanted? (And please, save the circular logic of "its dead"..it wouldn't be dead if players moved there who've said they've wanted it....)

There are simply not enough players to support 3 full campaigns.

This is my point in showing how those wanting an unlock faction campaign are a minority.

What you're asking for is to change something that a majority seem to be content with to support something a tiny vocal minority want.

While that might be what you personally want, it doesn't seem to be what most players want. Otherwise you'd see the unlocked campaign with the higher population. The only difference is one is locked, and the other isn't.

It's not the locked campaign that's dead. That's the point...🤷‍♂️

Thats simply not right or does prove your point.

Kaal was always the most populated campaign and everyone is playing Here. And i garantue you that If they would switch kaal to be not faction locked and locking the other 30days campaign. Kaal will still be the most populated of them.

Players who hate faction lock are more or less forced to play in kaal cause the other campaign is simply not populated enough and we dont have enough pvp players in general to fill up two full cp campaigns.

And no player will spend hours and hours on a empty campaign hoping that more players will join to also make non locked popular. Players want to pvp and If they see kaal being full of action and the other on Low low low guess what campaign they gonna join.

But it does prove my point. By your own words, if the unlocked campaign had the action, players would go there.
    But it doesn't....

This is the circular logic I'm talking about. At the beginning of the campaign, when they aren't forced to do anything, why haven't they moved? Because of the campaign name?
The argument is players haven't move to something they've asked for because of the campaign name? The home campaign defense you're talking about has no merit. There is no difference between campaigns other than a lock. Why would a player lock themselves into something they don't want when they already have a choice?

There's no action there because, maybe, it's not all that wanted except a vocal minority. That's literally the only thing preventing it from being full. Either that, or you're just saying PvP players are too dumb to pick something they want because of a campaign name...

    honestly, shut up...

    Making too much sense?

There's a campaign for you already...join it and stop bitching on the forum about something you've already been given.

What it seems you dont understand is that there are simply not enough players to fill up two campaigns. And no one wants to play on a rather empty one. So they all move to the most populated, wich is kaal. And that new 30 days campaign also also rather new.
    OP
So players rather accept the faction lock then play only against guards.

    Dude, that is the point.

If all you players who don't want a lock had the numbers, your unlocked campaign would and should be booming. Right? If so many players wanted no lock, why wouldn't the population be exploding?

Kaal would be the dead campaign. If an unlocked campaign was what a majority of players wanted, that's where the population would be. Isn't that true?

Just answer this...what is stopping players from having the choice? This empty campaign is a player self filled prophecy. Players are choosing a locked campaign when there's no reason not to.

Instead of asking campaigns to be changed to your liking, you and players who think like you should be starting a movement to jump to the unlocked campaign. Put the word out to your guilds, start being loud in game chat. If population is the factor, start trying to move it.

You've already been given what you asked for. Start getting players who think like you to move. If they don't choose to, then you have your answer.

You also just see this like black or White. I think there are also a lot of players who just dont care at all about this.

Most player play on kaal cause they are used to it. It was always the main 30 days cp campaign. A lot of players only have 1 char so they arent even effected by this. But i am 100% Sure that the majority of players who were playing multiple characters on different alliances are upset with the change.

If they remove the lock from kaal and put it on the other campaign, so you think population will change? Do you think kaal would be dead then? I highly doubt this. Its in the normal behavior of a human to more likely stay with the known. And this is their always used campaign.

And i also dont see the point of this faction lock anyway. And why they forced it on us. Why not give it a test and put a faction locked campaign besides kaal and see If players move there or not.

    A) Then again, start talking to players in your guild or chat and start trying to get players to move. The thing isn't going to fill itself.

B ) As I've said repeatedly, there's nothing forced on you. You have choice. Players asked for a campaign with no lock. They got it. Yet still the moaning continues. This post shouldn't be asking for a removal, it should be a plea to other like minded players to make the choice to move.

Choice doesn't equal forced in any rational mind, sorry. Your unlocked campaign IS the test...and you players who asked for it ARE failing.

When they introduced faction lock it was indeed forced on us cause there was no other 30days campaign. Players with multi faction characters adapted and choose one alliance. Building their other chars for PvE or even deleted them.

Now after month of faction lock they give us a non faction locked campaign ignoring the fact that we cant fill two campaigns. There are players who like the faction lock, player who dont like it and some just doesnt care at all. And i wont spend my whole gaming time trying to move players to the non locked when it will maybe take months ultil its populated and in this time we will just fight guards.

What is the benefit of faction lock anyway? I really dont get it. Only thing i see is that campaigns are getting more and more unbalanced

Have fun throwing pebbles against the wall boys ;)

What's not to understand? Instead of getting other players motivated to go to a place they say they wanted in the first place, you want Zos to do it for you.

    I understand full well.

I See that some things offer space for a lot of discussion where er maybe never find a solution. But i am still asking why faction lock was even put again after 3 years without it.

Scroll Trolling still happens, i have the feeling it got even more cause now player do it on purpose cause they are upset with the faction lock.

Prevent easy Crystal farm? There is another non locked 30 days campaign where this could be done like before

Spies? Even tho this is more a tinfoil hat theory every war has spies. And even now you cant prevent players telling their EP friends where the AD zerg is gonna go.

Zergleaders leading their zerg in a trap? Some players claim that specific player build a zerg, lead them to a keep, log to their char on the other alliance and them kill the zerg there. Even tho i never heard about this at all i guess everyone knows their Name after they did this a few times. And wont group with them anymore. Also a simple alliance switch cooldown of 30 minutes would solve this issue.

I cant really think of any other "reasons" why ZOS put the lock

Sure noCP is an option but why i grind all my cp and not use them im PvP...

It also requires completly different setups and not all my friends enjoy noCP... Hard to convince them to come there... Most of the problems would be solved by simply removing faction lock again and let us switch alliance when one alliance is dominating the whole map again

Doesn't seem to help the already unlocked 30 day.
