Do you like having to run back to the beginning to exit a dungeon?

There are some dungeons that don't have a very expedient way to exit it after completion. With the extended time you now have after leaving the party, sometimes trucking through caves or passages to exit can be a drag. I know you can use the wayshrine system to make a quick getaway, but why should I pay for it with gold if it patient people (those who will wait) can get out for free?

I suggest that upon completion of a dungeon, pressing F5 will automatically take you to the beginning/exit. Similar to housing.

Why would you do that when you can port out?

    *Travel to your home op?
Even if you aren't into housing it allows a free travel. Do one of the quests if you havent already problem solved 😉

I never run to the entrance to leave. Even with dungeons that have an exit at or near the last boss I port to a guild mate in the zone I am interested in going to.

Buy one of those cheap apartments in a city you like. It's basically a free Wayshrine.

If you don’t have a guildie or a friend online to jump to, you can port to a house you own. If you don’t own a house, you can get one free by doing a quest.

Unless you have a reason to stay in the dungeon (quest, chests, etc.), you needn’t immediately leave the group. If you port to a group member who is still in the dungeon, you’ll return to the beginning of the instance. If you port to a group member who has already ported out, you’ll end up at the wayshrine closest to wherever they went. If the group was too quickly dissolved for those options, I guess you could enter a PvP campaign and use the wayshrine at your home base to go anywhere you want.

Or you could just pay the 146 gold wayshrine fee.

Personally, I generally like to go back to where i was with the least amount of load screens as possible. So, I too would like the option to leave dungeon easier for those that want to and not wait the 2 minutes.

I generally port to my main house since I will end up there sooner or later to deconstruct whatever gear drops I got from the dungeon anyway.

Many of these are good advice if you don't care to be where you left to go to the dungeon. As in, you use the dungeon finder from an undaunted location, then you do the dungeon. For efficiency, wouldn't you prefer to be right back at the undaunted area? Rather than spending gold to go to a wayshrine, or port to a house, then leave your house and run to wayshrine to get back to the undaunted area to turn in your pledge...?

Just port to a guild mate/a friend/or one of your houses its free.

If you must use the gold option for going to a way shrine, you should have easily picked up enough stuff during the dungeon to cover the 146 gold.

Because not everyone wants to teleport somewhere random. I would like to be put back where i was so i can do what i was doing before entering the dungeon while waiting on the next to pop. Having to run back, wait out a timer, or port to a place i want and dont want to be moved in the wrong direction. The timer use to be 10 or 15 seconds. now its like a minute or more.

The OPs suggestion is a good one. Though i think F5 should just exit the dungeon completely.

If I don’t want to port out, I usually do inventory management or go back and look for loot that was passed up until the timer kicks me.

Aside from all the suggestions above, I have started to actually look at some of the dungeons I normally rush through. I kind of like having a relatively small amount of time to appreciate the space I’m in.

They really are quite impressive and I can totally see why some players want to spend time exploring them. FG1 has some really fabulous views.

On the other hand 146 gold is an impressively small hill to want to die on.

You can't teleport out of Volenfell if someone is doing the quest since it leaves you stuck in combat unless you do it quickly.

YES! I very much do like running back to the beginning to exit a dungeon. thank you for asking.

Esp since you dont have to run back to the begining to exit a dungeon. All you need to do to exit a dungeon is port anywhere... to your home, to a friend, to a guild mate... or hey just wait two minutes... it's not hard to do.. lots of options.
I simply must protest. There are no Penguin avatars for me to use in the forums.

I just grab something to drink, do some stretching, glance at my emails, etc. It's so little time to wait that I don't really care there is a convenience fee if you want to leave right nao!

You just go to the next section of the dungeon and teleport out, the room where the skeletons infinitely spawn is not the last area of that dungeon.

All of my characters enjoy a nice jog. ;)

Several of the dungeons have an exit and I use it sometimes, some have a potential chest and heavy sack along the path. The ones that do not, I port to a guildie, a friend, or a house because I am too cheap frugal to pay for port.

Then do the other thing I suggested: don’t leave group, port to a group member who is still in the dungeon, which returns you to the start. Then leave by the door and you’re back at wherever you ported in from (Undaunted camp, etc). Just be quick about it :)

port to a guildmate (then wayshrine on, as you will be at one, if needed)
port to a house (pick one with a wayshrine right outside if you want to port again to somewhere else)

use one of the many addons for this if on PC!

Porting out is as easy as opening your map and selecting your chosen wayshrine. The 146 cost is easily made up by selling unwanted items to a vendor.
If you're that much of a scrooge that paying that tiny fee is unthinkable, travel to your house or another player for free.

    Really is a non-issue.

No, I wouldn't. You assume people only run dungeons for pledges but not everyone does. Personally I wpuld rather not get dumped into an undaunted enclave upon completion. And if you wait for the timer to run out it would automatically dump you back in the location you started from. So just be a little patient. Or idk, use some of the above if you don't have that.

Not entirely free. The actual TP is free, yes, but it accumulates cost when you next TP to wayshrine. It's kind of annoying.
Difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 25 DLCs. 41 game changing updates including A Realm Reborn-tier overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver&Gold as a "you think you do but you don't"-tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game.

I wish you still had the option of simply walking out the door of the dungeon and getting to the zone the dungeon is actually in. :-(

I can't think of a dungeon that doesn't have an exit at the end nor some kind of short cut back to the beginning.
