Anybody else read the thread title in Phil Collins’ voice?

I believe you can if you are spending real money and want something out of it that actually worth spending money on. Unfortunately, the RNG in the crown store is so bad that most don't even feel like supporting the game by spending real cash. We are all aware of this but gambling is just that, gambling. There is no reward for spending your money and instead, you are provided with the garbage that you can't even place into your bank for a rainy day.

but yeah, sooner or later, every mmo has its expiration date...maybe this is late cycle for eso...who knows... i am also more in the mood for more great single player games or a brand new mmo to be honest... and i find myself using the forum way more than i care to actually log into the game anymore...

I have always thought the game to be over monetized, but lately it seems to have gotten to the point of overkill. And the events add an air of being another, unpaid, job when the goal of the whole endeavor is for players to take a break from their real lives and jobs. Useless, unsellable, unrecycleable items as "gifts" from ZeniMax...way overpriced items from the Crown Store, including those requiring the utterly redundant "Crown Gems" and content on ESO Plus which should be standard in the vanilla edition. Nope. Just cant do it any more.
I have reached this point multiple times since the game launched, and have taken multiple breaks. The difference between us, however, is that I've never felt the need to let every one know...
well, until now

Try the outer worlds, really like it, good game, kept expecting it to crash and lag etc, then I remembered it's a single player, not touched by ZOS.

I heard it was a linear design. Is that true? Or is it an "open linear" like a zone to zone progression setup. I've been thinking about picking it up.

It has smaller open zones, but it's obsidian company, it's fun, like earlier Fallouts, I paid Xbox beta thingy a pound so I didn't have to buy it, try it.
If you can put 16h a day in a game, you could take a 2nd full time job
Why do people act like burnout isn't normal or natural?
Take a break and stop acting like this is some profound event. It's just a game and it will still be here when you're ready to play again.

Read a book, they never get old, and when they do...
So are you!
