Dear ZOS, when can I earn those opal styles advertised on Your website?

Dear ZOS,
I understand you are working on your dungeon finder and you will have an update on its functionality by Monday. That's great. My question however is about the opal motifs - do you know when will I have a chance to earn them. And if You don't know then when might You know/I receive any update on that question?

Correct. There's not.

However, implicit in that "we'll give you another update on our plans on Monday" is that you aren't going to get an answer about the fate of the Undaunted event OR its rewards until then.

If you want to remind them to discuss the rewards on Monday, go ahead. Me, I figure the fate of those rewards is pretty dependent on what they do with the Event.

they did not announce a new event, they announced a fix. So it is likely that the Undaunted event will restart next weekend.
As it depends on the result of the Database-QA, they will decide it on monday.

Pressing them with posts will not make this decision quicker. Also keep in mind that we have weekend, so except for emergency notifications you will have to wait for the working days. An emergency would be a login failure for all players when xbox live is broken like it happened before.

Just like Natch Pote threads don't make the Patch Notes come any faster, asking the forum equivalent of "Dad, are we there yet?" won't actually make the wait go any faster.

" Once we receive the testing results from QA, we’ll give everyone another update of our plans on Monday." Also implicit in this is that some of the testing may also be going on today. That post came late in the day on Friday. It's only two and a half hours into the business day today. This isn't a usual pre-planned announcement, like everything else that comes out about this time.

I wouldn't expect the testing to be done yet. My prediction is that the update will be some time this afternoon.

Yeah, that'd would explain some of the confusion. Its 10:40 am eastern right now where the Devs work, so I'm not going to get worried unless we haven't heard something in the next 7-8 hours or so.

I believe you have successfully pinpointed the big issue right there.
Too bad ZOS doesn't seem to see it.

Edit: I didn't mean to derail the thread - still waiting for those updates on when and how the opal motif pages will become obtainable...

I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's a new "product" that has basically barely seen any action. AND with people asking about it, they are probably anxious to use it. We'll see it as soon as they can fit it in, even if it's just a subset of the styles (since people complained about it being impossible to earn the full set in just a few days).

I don't know that I know anything...

If I listen to my suspicions, I'm pretty pessimistic about getting a substantial update until they fix the current connection issue problem. After all, their plan presumably relies on all the servers working, and right now, PC/EU doesn't. We'd be justifiably skeptical.

If that's the case, I would like to at least get an update on the update, like "Hey, sorry, our PC/EU hamsters went on strike again, and we'll reevaluate the plan for Event stuff again once we've gotten the new contract negotiations finished up!"

Its not the answer I want - I like to know what to do with the Opal pages too - but I'd be surprised if we get a real answer while players on PC/EU would struggle to participate in whatever ZOS plans.
