Poll can't be answered in good faith.

Of course, most people will say yes. It's basically the same as a poll to ask if war is bad.

Anyway, it'sa moot point, since there's absolutely no P2W

It largely depends on your idea of pay to win.

Crown Riding Lessons is in a way pay to win. As as the crafting Instant Research items and motifs.

Depending on your opinions of pay to win, we're already there.

Tangential to the topic: Pay2Advantage may be a better description for the concept people are concerned over than Pay2Win is.

Yes, I would probably leave, but it mostly depends on how bad it gets. My longest-term goal is to complete all content. If P2W interferes with that then it's a problem for me.

I just want my PVP flying Dwemer Dragon mount dropping hundreds and hundreds of chub loon animunculi all over Cyrodiil that instantly kill all my opponents. I'm pretty sure that's what Abnur Tharn wanted. Too bad his credit card got declined.

The only pay to win is in trading where some GM's supplement their expenses by selling crown gifts for gold.

It doesn’t even deserve to be called a game if it goes p2w. I would quit but I would also be very upset and disappointed.

But I’m not very worried about ZOS going down that road... the only thing in the game even remotely pay to win is skill lines for under 50 pvp... and even that isn’t really endgame. Unless you are one of those people who gold out crafted low level sets and buy skill lines so they can crush noobs in under 50 BGs which is pretty sad imo.

In MMORPG terms of collecting to win (do not confuse FPS PTW as being the same thing with MMORPG PTW, ESO has been PTW for a LONG TIME.

I will not pay to win as principle. I'll take a break when I feel game is not fun to play any more or someone releases something potentially more interesting.

P2W and other monetization is only one of possible things that can make a game not fun. Servers melting, bugs piling up, update quality deteriorating, spastic changes for changes and so on for example.

Yeah I'd quit definitely I mean whats the point in buying the game with real world money it's bad enough buying eso plus to get small extras such as crafting bag. Then there's the dlc I mean I'm such a mug I buy the dlc I enjoy just in case I don't renew the plus.

Surely it is enough to make a quality game with least amount of bugs, then push out top quality dlc and cosmetics stuff that makes you feel proud to support the game not force you.

But sadly player mentality says no you'll always get the morons willing to pay for any advantage they can, who want to dominate a game which tends to drive players who really enjoy the game for what it is away in droves. it may seem strange but there's players who enjoy the game for more than stats.

    Define P2W

I’m very happy paying for the game. I understand it’s not free.

I want success in the game to depend on player ability, not what I’ve purchased.

What you pay for at the moment eso plus gives slight boost's but no real advantage over another player, i read some where that some one considers Crown Riding Lessons as p2w, don't see how it gives 1% boost or some thing if your dumb enough to pay the silly money for them go ahead, you get them as a reward for logging in, also there's people who's been playing the game longer than others if you could suddenly buy some thing that gets you above what some ones grind-ed months for in seconds and that player then has to spend cash to get even or better advantage that can only be bought for real cash and not earned through play without a seven year grind I'd say that's definition p2w.

because there is no such thing as 'winning' in a game like this.

its just about being good enough and having fun :)

P2W is just a term for fast-tracking. For those with patience P2W is irrelevant.

You can already buy gold with real money as much as you like, which can buy you raid groups to beat any content and buy anything you need off the guild stores. Its already P2W.

And yeah i mostly quit, dont sub and just log in at the beginning of each patch to see whats new then quit again

If it were a truly competitive game I'd probably quit.. but it isn't. It's just for funzies. A novelty.

If someone can pay real money to get better stats than my fully maxed characters, I would take issue with that. But I doubt they'd pull anything that egregious. I'm game for any and all QoL additions, including the current implementation of purchasable skill lines and skyshard achievements.
