Gonna do normal Fungal Grotto I for tickets

Most likely i'll be doing FG1 solo (it's so fast), but I may end up doing a delve the last day if I can't log on quick enough before the event ends. I would have loved to do the event with the dungeon finder, but I haven't been able to get in a group once with that thing. I was hoping I could finally get my monster helm since the event would make more groups. However it sounds like the dungeon finder doesn't do so well with events either.

(And honestly, it'll depend on what's in the Impressario. I'm not bothering with the mounts, so if there's nothing else in there that seems interesting, I'd skip. Because I'll be ending this event maxed.

...hmm, or I could spend down getting a few more Writs for the XP & vouchers, and then use Undaunted to refill. /ponder)

I'll do a single random normal on most days, since delves are allowed, I'll probably do that on off days/side account. pretty much accepted at this point that i'm not getting most of the undaunted rewards. it would just take too long to cycle multiple characters through random normals when there is a good chance i'll end up in something like moonhunter keep

It's obviously the undaunted event. It's on the PTS, was at the same time last year.

what details don't we know exactly? we know exactly what event is going to be like as it was up on pts earlier (specifics are as follows - any last boss of the dungeon rewards tickets, random dungeons reward undaunted bags once every 20 hours), and we know that tickets are sold at crown store at the same time.

I remeber doing this event once. We made a static group and went to dungeons with all characters. That was a pretty dull experience. I'll stay out and keep enjoying Northern Elsweyr.

According to the announcement it runs from the 14th - 17th. So that's 4 days, 3 tickets per day for a total of 12 tickets. And since it's Thursday - Sunday there's unlikely to be maintenance during the event unless they decide the best way to deal with the inevitable group finder issues is to take the entire game offline for a while so no one can play any part of the game.

One good approach is to go grab a skyshard every day from a delve that character hasn't done before.

Recall that the first time a character does a delve, the end boss spawns without significant delay. Just don't pick a delve with soooo many campers that the boss will be burst down before you can get in on the kill.

Yes you can just do pledges as usual.
However its another very trolish option here.
Loads will do random normals, so you can queue up for all the dlc you have not done on all the (in practice bank) alts you have and do them. You obviously want to listen to all dialogue.

Apologies if this is an obvious question (I realize that the event description quite clearly says “Dungeons”) - but many of the above posts mentioning Delves have lead to my uncertainty as to whether or not Event Tickets will be rewarded for Bolgrul’s Dailies. I started keeping notes about past events - so that if I need to remember specifics the next time it comes around, I have the info to reference - but It looks like my records only go back to the first TG/DB event this year. Cheers.

Event runs from 14th to 18th. Event says 17th but the date for witches festival said 3rd and it techincally ended on the 4th.
Assuming there's no maintenance on the 18th, thats 5 days. We will see next week for the announcement.

4 Styles:
Bloodspawn - Helm + Shoulders (Earnable on HM Vet / Buyable) + Battle Axe + Mace + Shield + Bow + Staff 5 Weapon Styles (Random chance)
Engine Guardian - Helm + Shoulders + Greatsword + Dagger + Shield + Bow + Staff
Illambris - Helm + Shoulders + Battle Axe + Sword + Shield + Bow + Staff
Troll King - Helm + Shoulders + Battle Axe + Axe + Shield + Bow + Staff

5 days with 5 chances to get one of 20 weapon styles. Not sure if styles are tradable (assuming they are)

Styles are also available in the impressario for 5 tickets. So you can buy the styles you want. Assuming you ignore the berry and try to get all the styles you can have 12 tickets going into the event and get 15 during the event thats 25 tickets and 5 extra weapon styles.

So best case scenario is you will get 10 styles and if you want to buy 50 tickets at 250 crowns each thats 12.5k crowns.

Then you'll have to run through 4 HM dungeons and hope you get the helm drop (its gonna be rare)
Then you'll have to buy the shoulders from the vendors and we don't know how much it will be (hopefully not 50 keys each)

Its gonna be a real poop show guys.

From the information available at the moment, quests are irrelevant. Tickets will be looted from the boss that you kill -- final dungeon boss, or the boss in a delve.

I cant believe their actually trying this again. Like maybe the delve part is the saving grace but dungeon finder still is nowhere close to being able to handle events that have you run dungeons.
