Favorite experience in ESO?

Other than the "haha when i unimstallled!" jokes, what has been your favorite experience in ESO? Was it the players, the writing, the music, the mechanics, something else that really helped create that experience?

And on the other side, what has been the worst?

Based on these answers, what do you hope will change or not change about the game?

First sieges...when you hide in front of the walls and your army bambards castle with flaming siege weaponry. And you have no idea whats waiting inside. First days of Cyro.

Still remember this epic feeling from 2014.

P.s.i still hope for more game mods inside cyro, better performance.

Leveling my one and only character. Loved it but something I wouldn't want to repeat. Which explains why I only have 1 character.

Vampire role-play, from acquiring the bite, to sneaking and trying to feed in protected areas. Nothing to do with dungeons or BG, just from the RP perspective.
Although I think that feeding should increase the vampirism levels, not diminish them, so in order to get full buffs you need to feed regularly, but this is not the subject of this threat.

Best: the people I've met, hands-down. My "main" guild is a very small , tight-knit group and I was lucky enough to meet five of them in February when our GM hosted a guild meetup, so I've even been able to establish real-life friendships that will transcend ESO.

Worst: the MMO part of the game. This is the first MMO I've ever played and will be the last- I'm an addict and should have seen this coming, but my playing the game genre that's designed to be as addictive as possible gave me some trouble in terms of moderation...

Things were new an interesting, big groups and factions formed, people cared about campaign victories as a symbol of their factions superiority.

Questing and storytelling quality. Really great. Didn't expected that from an MMO. IMO it's better than Oblivion or Skyrim... Shame it's not single player game:)

Aside from things like “meeting cool people” which should go without saying there are two things that stick out.

I once ran a 24 man group with 2 other coordinated 24 man groups giving me a 72 person army. That was crazy.

The other - which can sort of be put in the worst things department as well since it’s gone - were the glory days of ESO Call of Duty in the old school Imperial City. The bases were so close to each other where it would be a 30 to 50 man close quarters fight regularly. Add in that Vicious Death was the cool new thing at the time and it created an interesting meta where there were dozens of people all in close quarters but actively trying to avoid piling up. I really wish they would add this back in because battlegrounds just doesn’t scratch the same itch.

This should be a thing. Now you get to stage 4 and totally forget about feeding.

I love exploring Tamriel and many of the sites and the wonderful music, but what may stand out most for me is working with a group to defeat a difficult dungeon encounter. I may be swearing at the screen when I die the umpteenth time, lol, but when we finally are victorious, it is a very good feeling indeed!

It's not my FAVORITE experience, but its those moments that really get me going, cause I usually suck at PvP, but getting into a 1v2 with supposedly better players and actually winning was a bit of an ego booster.

When the new patch drops. I love making bets with my friends on how many new bugs there will be, and how many extra days of maintenence we will have!

usually the same as for a single player TES game - experiencing a new area and the beginning of a new questline for the first time...when the world is full of promisses of adventures to come

Favorite: No matter the character, I can wear whatever armor type I want, use whatever weapon I want, and basically change it up however I want. There is no "one right way" - this is a huge thing for me.

Least fav: Nerfs. No really. Nerfs. It's not the inability to log in, or something not working as it should - those will get fixed, lots of other stuff I can do in both cases while I wait. But going along having a great time and then BOOM! Suddenly unable to do things I could do yesterday? That drives me batty.

Fav.: all these are at same place - combat, finding my own playstyle, not forced to keep up every with every single update to still be viable part of group and enjoy what i want


Least fav.:ZOS attitude to problems, mistakes and playerbase is one of the worst I have experienced in MMORPG games i have played during past 10 years

In story perspective:

Summerset, Clockwork City, Orsinium, was the best parts of the game truly these three stories amazed me so much.

Character perspective:

Dragonhold, Summerset, Thieves guild, Mages guild, and the main game story was so cool.

In general I love the ESO atmosphere and theme, in all it's shape, but this does not mean that I am satisfied
with everything in the game.

What I hope they change:

- this game should be more Elder Scrolls game visually, in designing way, the previous zones that reappeared from Main Games it looks way diffrent because of ESO designing of things, and this might be the worst thing I can think about in ESO.

I think they need to reshape/rework some parts of ESO, like; buildings and stones of castles, and Armour design to be more ES.

Favorite experience in eso: dreaming up my characters lore friendly back story, meticulously design them for aesthetics and gameplay practicality
Worst experience in eso: a company that ruins PVE gameplay over and over again and then smears giant dumps on the 25 year old lore.

I play somewhere between the two.

My favorite ones are when I help new players or show them the game and they seem so happy. Makes me remember the first days I played at beta. For example when they discover dolmens..

Meeting Sotha Sil.

And definitely Morrowind launch exploring and questing, the silt strider, Vivec, Balmora, the music...

Mine is more mundane and not especially ESO exclusive.
ESO was my first online rpg and before that, I just play PONG!. They are pretty much the same thing when you think about it except one is online while the other one isn't. They both have two bar and the main objective is to prevent an evil entity from entering your realm. Just that one shape like a demon skull face with horse leg, while the other one shape like....a square blob. But I digressed.
So, the best experience for me is when there was a first real human interaction between me and other player. I didn't really interact with other during the prologue (pre-Morrowind) and in the first zone, people are just rushing around so it felt like a normal offline game with a lot of npc doing random thing. When I get to Auridon is the first time I notices that, yeah there are other player there that doing stuff. So I get up on a stone pillar outside the crafting area and use the /sit command. And before I know it, people are doing the same. It just somehow make me LOL. Not a single word is spoken or written, but I think we both get a good laugh.
