Login queue

Mine is stuck at 14:06 minutes. It’s been 14:06 minutes for the past half an hour. It feels as if I’m waiting for that boy to change his mind. We all know it’s never gonna happen - but here I am, all blue eyed and naive, waiting like a fool..

This just sums it all up; as a paying player I do not expect to have to wait for 15-30 minutes in some queue. I'll be more than happy to bring my money somewhere else.

You are 100% right. I'm just venting, but this is the general area of the forums. The last few days the server has just really been taking the proverbial. I pay for this and I'm not getting what I paid for.

That said, no more venting. I'm off to watch a DVD with my son. From now on, if I'm asked to queue or I can't login or I get booted from the server, I'll just go do something else. Eventually it'll happen once too often and I won't bother trying again. Is that really what ZOS want, because I'm sure I'm not the only one, and I'll take my money with me and think twice or thrice the next time I see their name stamped on a game.

I think if they made a dedicated area for venting, at the moment it would overflow.

The login queue is a perfect way to make people quit so they don't have to invest in a new server. EU is not so important.

mine is stuck in 14:41 forever. this is really stupid. they could add an option on the beginning for those who don't want to participate in the event to be able to login

I have to say that I am impressed that anyone can come on here right now and be anything other than utterly apoplectic

This is just rancid service.

The worst thing about this is that it was 100% predictable. ZOS saw what happened with the Group Finder last year, they saw what happened with the Guild Finder earlier this year and they saw what happened in the Anniversary event. EU server performance has been declining seriously over the last two weeks and the 3 maintenance patches have been anything other than effective.

They’ve been forced to write not one but two grovelling apologies to their EU customers and I fully expect another one shortly.

Whoever is in charge of EU performance and server provision should be considering their future because they don’t have a track record to be proud of.

There is now a legitimate question of do ZOS actually give a toss about their EU customers or are we simply scum to be milked?

on top of everything else there's now a queue (15 minutes) to actually be able to play the game!

but at least ZoS are doing the decent thing and compensating us with in-game rewards once everything is fixed.

To resolve the issue, maybe they could purchase a few of those Charity WoW server blades. It will upgrade the server infrastructure and also it is for the good cause.




Yes, I'm just toxic now.
But also a paying sub customer, so I think I'm entitled to be a bit toxic, a little bit at least.

Regarding the Q timer, it is not working like that. It is the estimated average wait time. It will not count down or move.
and if you are waiting for 30 minutes, and counter says 13 minutes, that means that it is not fully updated and as above, it is estimated wait time, it can be less, and it can be more.

First Login Queue : 14 min 4 sec estimated wait time ..... 36 min nothing. Second Login Queue 10 min 32 sec estimated wait time ... 28 min still not logged in. They must just have a number randomizer that places a random time on the screen and if you get in you better not leave.

Since monday it takes me every day like 20 tries to get in. When I am finally in they kick me out again. Why is there even a queue? Then the same starts over...

Could you at least reduce or remove queue for eso+ members? This is ridiculous.

Amazing... Just great. Take down the servers for multiple hours on weekdays to perform maintenance (and mess them up in the process) so nobody can play. And then put a login queue in place during the weekend so people cannot play there either. Maybe ZOS should just assign every player a fixed schedule for when they may or may not play the game... Could lower expectations and reduce frustration a bit. Graciously, ESO+ members might even be able to chose an entire hour a week during which they can always play (unless it's patch day or something else breaks, bad luck then).

The issue at this point isn't just the login queue. The issue is that PC-EU has been underperforming for over a year. After months of complaints in the forums and elsewhere, ZOS admitted PC-EU wasn't up to snuff and said they were adding extra capacity to the server - and to PC-NA for good measure. Fast forward a few months and we're in the same situation. If this is all from a growing player base, ZOS should have the funds to invest in better hardware, no?

In any case, the game seems to be in permanent crisis management mode, the only thing working without a hiccup is the clown store, and I'm questioning whether ZOS should be getting my money at all.

Don't know if anyone has already said this, but if there's any Steam users having this issue, try launching the ESO64 from [aDrive]:\SteamApps\Common\Zenimax\ESO\Game\Client. I was just sat in a "3 Minute 46 Second" Queue for around 45 minutes it turns out, thought to close steam and run the 64. And it logged in immediately with no mention of a Q so now I'm on my merry laggy way once again. I hope this works for literally anybody else too.

This only works if you bought the game on steam a long time ago. They stopped steam users starting the game up without using steam but if you have an older version it still works.
