I've lost count of the games I've played that had hotfixes and rollbacks on such days, but they certainly include EQ and EQ2 back in the day. Nobody with any experience of these things reckons on being able to play fully on launch day. When it goes smoothly, that's the time to be surprised

The whole situation has deeply amused me.
But I think the fact that this has become the norm, suggesting it is an issue that the industry either can't fix, or won't fix, is more sad than anything else.1 -

✭It's always like this on a patch day. I wouldn't be surprised if it is made available around 6pm/7pm in Europe.
We've had even later in the past remember, once it was back around 9pm.

✭✭Update: Work is ongoing, and though we still don't have a solid ETA, please expect this to take some time (again, hours vs minutes). We'll let everyone know when we have a better idea of when the server will re-open.
