They nerfed my Nightblade tank 3 times in a row so I know how you feel.

First I was a sustain tank, then a Saptank, then a dodge-tank. They took it away so I retired it to thieving. Then they took away aa 25 year characteristic of his race and now he just fishes.

Agreed, its a pretty steep drop from current patch. In terms of where it stands relative to other mag specs next patch, ain't so bad. Better than magdk, magplar, magden, or magcro.

TY. I am not good at the rhythm. If find it weird to attack with left hand then right hand then left hand and on and on. Its a very uncomfortable playstyle for me. So I just don't use it (and obviously lose a ton of DPS in the process).

It would have really been nice if they had provided a developer comment on the Daedric prey change. It's a 50% nerf that came out of no where; some explanation is warranted.

But yeah, things change, things you relied on get nerfed, sometimes too much for your playstyle because they were too effective in some other combin ation... and then you have to adapt. It has happened before, and it will happen again. This time, it happened to you. Next time... who knows, maybe to the ones currently laughing at your misfortune?

And all the talk around it is the same as all the talk around any other nerfing in the past. Talk around it. Maybe in some time, ZOS will reconsider and decide the nerf was too harsh, or maybe not. Best not hold your breath, best not wonder about things we cannot influence much, best to carry on and find a different way to get your gaming done. Its quite possible after all...

I love pet builds. I really do so. My forst MMO was Anarchy Online ,almost 20 years ago, where I played a Metaphysicist, and awesome pet class, and I've always had a pet class one way or another on every MMO I have played ever since.

Pets are a joke, here. You have zero direct control over them, can't tell them to assist, attack a different target, can't tell them ANYTHING, really. You even need an addon to monitor their health, FFS. I do have a pet sorc, but there isn't much enjoyment to be gained there.

If you want to play a pet characetr... I suggest Champions Online or the recently made public City of Heroes revival. Those games are old, they require some serious pet management (which is a good thing, from where I stand), and you can make something truly fearsome once you get the hang of it. Champions Online will require a freeform slot for a proper pet master build, but it's totally worth it. City of heroes, just pick a mastermind and chose your poison : will you command robots, ninjas, undead, demons, soldiers, wolves ? Will you support them with dark magic, fire powers, technology, radiations, sound powers ?

Pets in ESO are a lost cause, sadly.

You can hold this keybind and left click to make your pets attack whatever you're targeting and right click to make them stop attacking...

He won't. All builds have lost around 10-15k damage. And that's okay, because the potential dps that groups could get was waaay too high. The first patch notes for the coming dlc were just a bit drastic, so there is some drama.

I am personally glad to see petsorcs nerfed. They have been insanely cancerous for too long in BGs and 1v1's. Good that the most brainless of all builds now need to put in some actual effort in stead of endless free damage from pets even while cc'ed.

Most good pvp petsorcs were using haunting curse for faster burst and not daedric prey which was the morph nerfed, so your point is inaccurate @Koensol .

I personally dont think the nerf is that bad but cant have false statements entering the discussion. The prey nerf was 100% coming from a pve decision. It wont stop petsorcs in pvp.

Uhm, no. There were plenty of petsorcs using daedric prey. The pets did a cancerous amount of damage with that morph. Free damage with absolutely zero effort. Glad to see it nerfed.
