Fengrush is the most entertaining to watch.

Yup sure is fun watching full on brainless zerging in a stacked campaign

That's my problem with "streamers". What they do on their own time is not my concern. But when they flood Cyrodil (and I do mean "flood" literally, like a tidal wave) with their huge zergs it ruins PvP for everyone else and the zone usually just empties out after they show up (and I can't really blame the ones who leave either). So streamers encourage a very lame style of PvP play that basically ruins Cyrodil.

Other than that - I've never really understood what people like about watching some other person play video games. But to each their own I guess.

What ESO streamer have you been watching? Fengrush, Bislobo and Alcast to name a few do everything you just pointed out on your post. The really good streamers eventually get out of ESO and for good reason, look at where SypherPK is today.

The good old "do it better then" argument is annoying. You don't need to be a good football player to criticize a pro football player when they don't play well for example. You don't need to be a good streamer to criticize a streamer.

I think most ESO streamers kill it, your expectations are silly, "show us some swagger and attitude." Like dude if you dont enjoy the stream just dont watch it.

I died laughing last night watching Thogard audit Mursies stream, "Bring that leap to me and I will END YOU!!!!!"

When I first starting playing ESO, I used to watch streamers for tips on how to play.

It used to be about the game and now it's just a bunch of 20 something year old's bragging about their drunken evenings and how they think they are the best thing since sliced bread.

Also, I ran into 3 streamers who were broadcasting the Alik'r dolmen train... why would they do that? Literally, no one would want to watch something so boring. In fact, each video had zero views!

Some come off as elitist and racist so I don't watch any of them anymore.

Show the attempts at sets that they tried but failed. Record and post YouTube clips where they’re not doing well instead of only the clips where they successfully 1vX or win a BG because the score is 500 v sub-100 v sub-100.

Well that’s kinda the point of a stream is to see them do everything. Youtube is for the highlight reels.

I think people get bored with eso streams because it is a slower pace, waiting for bgs, horse simulator, you can die fast. People watch streamers and think it will be like thogard said, a high light reel, not them actually playing

I was in Cyro ALL day yesterday and discord with some pals. Apparently one of my pals zerged down a streamer lol. So these 3 streamers come in disc and they duel it out.

I was in Cyro. I wasn’t at the duels. I only half paid attention. Everybody left. I was in discord all by my self. I’m dorking around outside sej. It’s about to flip. I’m trying to get some AP because I blew 2mil on the hammer replica.

Suddenly a voice came back in disc and said. “Jumpman, you better not come up this hill! You better not Zerg us down!”

I was like “Who the f is this!” It was one of the streamers came BACK. They so touchy nowadays. Burst into tears when they die. If they fight more than one player and they kill em. They’re 1vXing. If they fight more than one player and they die, they got zerged down. I find it all very uninteresting.

I troll em if I talk to em. I’ll toss structured Entropy on em for giggles if they roll by. I’ll leap em too and HOPE they in a 1v1. ZOS ain’t emptying out Cyro for your feckless vanity. Lol. I tbag the ones I don’t like. :)

I'll advertise myself here a little
I am streaming DLC dungeon runs using Dungeon Finder to my friends. I always force the PUGs to do several tries of HM and usually wont explain anything before a couple of wipes :innocent: the easier places (WGT, ICP, CoS, FH and MoS) usually succeed after wiping few times (to few hours). We call them "popcorn runs". I enjoy watching noobs dying to funny mechanics and it makes me so happy to see them finally learning after dying to the same thing 27 times <3

More like stop demanding people to play their game the way you feel they should play, or just do it yourself.

The industry survives because of that. People watch someone (mostly not even paid by the developer, ie. free marketing) play a game and then get that game and play themselves.

And even though I like gaming, I don't always feel like playing games. I simply watch someone play a game I'm interested in and sometimes see different aspects to that game or a play-style I never considered.

It's similar to other hobbies. I love playing guitar. But that doesn't mean that whenever I want to listen to music I have to play my favourite songs myself. I listen to someone else play them; usually better than me too :)

It seems so, though I could never understand why anyone would want to spend the time watching some self promoting muppet who gets off on 'likes' rather than actually playing the game!

Its like influencers HAHA don't make me laugh they are what we used to call Sales Reps, all they are missing is the Vauxhall Vectra!!!!!!!

Again, it's like @Thogard said, most people are there for the community, not the gameplay.

I never really got streaming. Watching someone else play a game? Why?

While I do sometimes watch video game content on you tube, it's pretty much for specific purposes: see the game in action, to decide whether I want to try it, or learn how to do something within the game (tutorial, etc).

But for entertainment purposes? Isn't it more entertaining to just play the game yourself?

Why watch an NBA game when you can walk over to the local court pickup game?

I watch streamers all the time. I am terrible at PUBG and last maybe 5 minutes, but I can watch good players all day long. Many of the streamers I watch all have hilarious personalities which makes me chuckle.

A lot of pvp streamers will talk an immense amount of smack about the people playing the game which I have always found curious since the game has an ever-shrinking base. They also have like 50-150 viewers at most, coincidence?

It’s impossible to regularly stream PvP and not talk smack. No streamer has ever done it. I’d go so far as to say no PvP player has ever avoided talking smack when they discuss fights with their friends.

The only PvP streamers I watch are the ones who can be humble. It's fine to watch cocky players, but the ones who admit to being bested instead of complaining 100% of the time are the ones I'll return to.

I see this the same way as watching any other sports on TV. Some people like football, baseball, hockey, etc. They don't play the sport but they watch it on TV. So, watching your favourite streamer is the same thing for me.

I wish ESO youtubers would do the dungeons in the game allowing all the dialogue to play out. So I can finally experience dungeon stories. I’d subscribe to that. Especially if they were flawless in execution of the mechanics. It would be like watching a movie.
So a video of a dungeon where the player characters are lore friendly and they let the npcs do all their acting and animation. That’s what I want.
