it WAS constructive...he mentioned that if the dude is under 50 with no cp, then that could be partly to blame on top of user error.

I can only write about my experience and do not want to upset anyone - least of all the op!

I first did the prologue on a sub 50 level character with a staff weapon. In this case the dragon 'wiped' me a few times and I was frustrated a lot. I stuck in and eventually won out.

My third attempt was with a level 50 460+ levelled character. I got wiped more times with this character using a mixture staff and two blades. I kept going and eventually won out again.

My second attempt was with a brand new character using bow and starting at level 4 - ending dragon fight at level 5. This was a character on my alt free to play account. I got owned once only on this character then won fight on second attempt. Now! Before anybody says 'picture or it did not happen', I recorded this character right through the whole quest and have created a video 'guide' to the prologue. The video is not completed - I hope to record some dialogue for it tonight and put the video up on youtube soon.

    What I learned about the fight with Vahlokzin;

Use food to buff character before fight
Have plenty of health pots on quickslot
Be aware that Sai Sahan will often revert to centre of 'arena'
Train mobs onto Sai Sahan - make him work at killing mobs
    Keep moving where possible
If ranged, use edges of arena to give yourself plenty of space to move
Keep away from the parts of arena where you can be knocked over the edge by shouts or wing beats
Watch out for shout 'triangle' area
In the part where the dragon spits fire - run in circles - changing direction can be fatal so do so little
Sprinting can also be fatal - especially on a stam based character - reserve sprinting for emergencies
If the fight, especially last part directly against dragon seems to be 'locked' move about - it seems the dragon can drop focus!
If wiped, return to waypoint to reserve soul gems
If wiped and you have a pet rvive it before going back to fight
if wiped you do not have to repair items but you can to keep an edge
if wiped and you have gems - recharge your weapons if needed

I hope this helps. Posts saying 'Get good' or 'It's easy' really are no help.

Edit: Corrected a few spelling errors. Noticed people saying to stay under dragon. This is probably a good idea but it is one way I got wiped - when running in to be under dragon. :)

By keeping on the move. The red circles are avoidable if you pay attention and keep moving. Never stand to fight, always be in motion, and ready to dodgeroll. Food buffs help, a lot. So do good potions. Ranged characters and those with good AoE attacks might have it easier...

But yeah, this is not a fight to be taken lightly... it takes a bit more skill then the usual "faceroll 'em" bosses... which I found nifty! All too many fights are boringly easy these days... you people should have a go at pre-nerf Doshia or Sancre Tor Mannimaroc sometimes... :p;)

I will *never* forget that Mannimarco fight. Dear God Almighty, I beat the SOB with just a bit of health left back in mid-2014. Things definitely were tougher back in those days of yore.

DPS were swinging around 2k back then, IIRC.

I was one of those "Put equal attributes across health, mag and stam". I had no clue back then.

That wasn't that you had no clue, it was that the stat pools hit soft caps remarkably low, so there was a lot of value in splitting your points between two pools. Granted, usually that was your damage pool and health, but, still.
