Suggestion: Tutorial introductions to ESO

Instead of simply dropping new players into Elsewyr I'd like to suggest a menu:

Please choose from the following introductions:
  1. Coldharbour (recommended for new players)
  2. Vvardenfell
  3. Summerset
  4. Elsewyr
  5. None (Not recommended for new players.

Part of my reasoning is that the Coldharbour tutorial leads players straight into the main quest and their faction quest, with no confusion. (I have met many who are confused.)

Another part of my reasoning is that when I make a character whose purpose is Vvardenfell, or Summerset, I want to be able to run that tutorial for them.

Thank you.

This would be nice. First thing I do when starting a new char now is teleporting to their alliance starting area x.x

TBH they should just drop you in Coldharbour.

The new tutorials, while somewhat nice, were a waste of resources better spent elsewhere. Also, the long questlines become totally disjointed for new players since there is no good indication of which is the correct order to play the quests in order for them to make sense. (Talking about the Morrowind -> Clockwork City -> Summerset for example).

While I sort of like the 'hooded figure' part they put in, it makes 0 sense since you get put in a cell in Coldharbour with all your equipment :D . It also ruins / is ZOS being upfront with how they treat, roleplaying, since your character must walk right into the. most. obvious. trap. ever. in order to start the MQ.

Though your idea makes perfect sense as well. One thing I always disliked with TES was that you start in a cell. Now, my characters 1) usually don´t break the law (at first at least), and 2) don´t get caught. The Morrowind tutorial in ESO was better in this respect. And at least in Skyrim you could pretend you weren´t captured on purpose and was about to make a spectacular escape when the dragon attacked.

Yes I get too invested sometimes :)

i think they should drop you in the newest content but perhaps the some of the first loading screen could be something that tells you you can take ships to other areas if you wanted to.

dropping players in the newest content is a way to make sure zos has incentive in always trying to improve that content.

It would be nice to have the choice. But the newest tutorial is hands down the best at teaching some core combat mechanics in a way that clearly identifies them, and so that should be the default for newcomers.

    I know, story continuity. Priorities.
