Yup. I do that, even outside of the event. It is just too annoying to run to some of those places. The dragons come to me when they want to be killed. It's an accord I have with them.

I had one dragon a few minutes ago where I was already close and still missed it... Guessing everybody was camping that spot, as it was near Starhaven. Really shocked me. xD
But yeah, running on a new char that's painfully slow. Often I can even get both dragons when they spawn seemingly at the same time (likely that most people started with the same dragon as me, so second one was under attack but barely).
Most of the fights are 1 minute plus, some more. Dragon goes into up-phase twice usually -- sometimes only once, sometimes more when it's particularly slow.

listen. I couldn't even make it to dragons in time with fully maxed horse and even when I said screw it and just paid cash to fast travel to the next spawn.

its better for everyone to just be patient and camp the spawns, not just low level characters. a LOT of people are killing dragons right now.

not as many people are killing delve bosses and those spawn once every 5 minutes, so....

I saw one die in less then 10, it was bizarre O_O

its probably, hopefully going to be better around 5am eastern or so, and whatever the equivalent for EU is... but right now, its pretty crazy. even when I was on PC EU server earlier, at the time when normally its pretty impossible to find a group for anything, there were people camping world bosses AND dragons.

I pity newcomers to the game, no way they can participate in this event outside of doing the Pathfinder achievement. Every WB and dragon in Elsweyr go down far too fast to even get a hit in.
Delve bosses maybe. If they spawn that is. A lot of the time, they don't.

Sit at dragon landing sites, or WB sites, and there are two public dungeons with tons of bosses to camp if you have to too. There are options. I don't see the issue... If you can't chase all dragons, the don't. Pick your fights.

Even on a mount with no speed upgrades, you can get from a dead dragon to the next one that spawns before it is downed to get a hit in. Slow and grindy, but entirely possible.

Gonna be tedious. Might have to just camp at a site and wait for the boss to show up.

Although if people camp all the sites, then the rotation should go pretty fast?

Rotation? You don't need a rotation right now, it's a matter of actually landing an attack before the boss/dragon melts.

I saw a dragon go down in literally <15 seconds this morning.

The way new players are utterly shafted by the rancid ‘mount’ system is a total disgrace.. Everyone at ZOS should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves that this is still a thing. These are the very players who should be given every incentive to get into the game and you are treating them like scum.

Watch as they trot at zero speed to arrive only as the dragon dies.. or try gallopping the entire length of Aridon to get to the Witches Festival on a no speed mount.. they might actually get there by the time the event ends if they ‘git gulloping’ right now...

Mounts should be born with triple sixty bonuses.

Even with full Speed mount and rapid maneuver skill I only get there in time about 25% of the time. It is best to just stay in one spot as has already been stated or learn the rotation and head to the next location before respawn.

Yeah even with fully maxed mounts its a pain. Every time I reached the Dragon it was down to 7-9k health and I was usually walking into a OHK as I arrived. Not exactly what I would call an enjoyable experience.

The North dragon is always heavily camped (and as a matter always has been even outside the event) so expect it to go down very fast. On the other hand, once it is dead nothing keeps you from getting in time to another of the 2 remaining dragons. Even if you miss #2 because it landed at the same time as North, then head to #3 before it even spawns.

    WOAH WAIT

u mean they respawn in same/similar locations?! /s

Yup. They have three spawn locations on the map connected to an area where each lands. I like opening the Star haven wayshrine in the northwest first as the dragon that spawns near it is easy to reach even with my 2% speed mount. Also you can see how far along the dragon is in damage by it's symbol. No swords for no attackers, crossed swords when the fight is underway and what looks like cracks in the crossed swords icon when it is heavily damaged. Don't bother running for that one, you'll never make it, rather run to one of the other two spawn points. They spawn sequentially. Also always loot the 3 urns and backpacks at starhaven wayshrine, I usually get a green or occasionally a blue recipe there, any part of tamriel but sometimes an Elsweyr one. My hubby picked up a purple Elsweyr double bed blueprint there $$$

Nah, I stalled quite a bit yesterday when dragon showed up, I gathered some nodes on the way, listened to some quest dialogue and I still made it to the party when dragon had over half of it's health left. Don't sweat it.

And that is truly the way to do it. There is even a chance of loot boxes dropping from the nodes on the way too.

I would suggest not running around after dragons or world bosses.

Stop at one location and wait, you wont have to wait that long before new world boss or dragon re-spawns.

There is no need for levelled mounts.
