No event tickets without Elseweyr?

Am I reading that right?

The only way to earn event tickets in this event is inside a paid-content area?

    Correction: Killing enemies in Moongrave Fane can get you tickets.

    This is the 12th berry event this year - 4 for spring, 4 for summer, 4 for fall. I can’t go double check right now but I’m pretty sure that this is the first event that leaves base-game people stranded in the cold unable to complete their indrik.

    Yes. Thieves Guild/Dark Brotherhood have been exclusive to those DLCs, as has Clockwork City. Sometimes when the event is exclusive to a non-base-game zone they give people free access to the zone for a period during the event, and sometimes they put the zone on sale. This is a case of the latter: Elsweyr is on sale during this event. Also you can collect tickets in Moongrave Fen if you have access to that dungeon DLC and don't want to buy Elsweyr.

    Both iterations of the Thieves Guild event, the morrowind event, the 2018 Clockwork City event, and the recently passed Wrothgar event would have all left base game players without eso plus with no ticket earning. There may have been a trial eso plus for one or two of them but not the majority.

    I mean, technically the whole game is paid content, since you have to buy the base game.

    Just tested Moongrave Fane and I was not able to get tickets from killing the first boss.

    DLC zones also require that players buy them if they don't have an eso+ sub active...

    In dungeons what matters is the last boss, as it has happened in past ticket events.

    That's not a bug, you have to kill the final boss to get the tickets.

    Tickets aren't earned until the end of the dungeon. This is done to prevent people from grouping and then dropping as soon as they get their tickets and spoiling a run for those wanting to complete the dungeon.

    Or don't be a sucka & pay nothing....everyone who keeps spending on this game have no room to complain about performance.

    Just look at all the players who bought Elsweyr complaining on the forums right now....how dumb the consumer is today.

    @ZOS_SarahHecker If it's unintended that players without the Elsweyr chapter should be able to earn any tickets, then Moongrave Fane might need to be tweaked ahead of time to prevent unintended tickets and a lot of complaining from all parties later on.
    We'll update the article to be more explicit. Moongrave Fane counts since it's technically in Northern Elsweyr.

    Moongrave Fane has multiple doors that only open after a boss in front has been killed. So I don't think you can skip more than a few trash packs.

    With the exception of the second (unscheduled) TG/DB event every DLC event had a free ESO+ trial. 5 days, 10 tickets. Enough for a berry.

    What is really upseting is that no one knew that the last event would be inaccessible for those without Elsweyr/Scallebreaker. If people knew, they maybe wouldn't even have bothered with the last 3 events, or wouldn't have bought the other 3 berries that will be useless for them now. Or at least they could try to end the last event with 10+ tickets to be able to buy it anyway.

    I saw the Dragon flying over the grahtwood tree and thought it was a surprise from zeni to throw a lifeline to people without elseweyr.

    Nope. We can get within attack range but it doesn't heed our challenge to battle.

    With the introduction of the new Indrik berries, the berries from previous seasons are no longer available from the Impresario. If you were unable to complete your Indrik evolution, we recommend holding onto the ones you have, as we plan on giving players new opportunities to complete that evolution at a later time.

    That "no one" could also include ZOS. Maybe the delay in the last berry event was due to discovering the opportunity, negotiating the terms of this charity event, and doing the programming.
    That said, surely someone would have realized it would potentially lock out the last berry and pushed witches up and moved this event down for the first Q4 berry.
    They could then even have made the first Q4 berry cost 20 tickets AFTER the charity event, to make the charity event attractive to do.

    Yes, if you buy it or pay a sub. Not even close to the free event of Midyear Mayhem we were supposed to get for this berry.
