Everyone wants this one Necro change

I don't even play necro that much, but you can't put the major vulnerability on the last hit of the collosus, any half decent player will be long gone from the collosus aoe before the last hit lands and pve vise it wouldn't change anything. Collosus is in its live version indeed very strong for pve and PVP both but you should reconsider putting the vulnerability on the first rather than last hit. That would be a good balanced change and I bet everyone agrees.

While the proposal sounds reasonable and fair, I fear that Colosus does not have bright future anyways. They stated that they plan to adjust Major Vulnerability to not be as effective in future patch. In ZoS language, that means one-way ticket to oblivion

that is exactly why I created this thread bc there are better ways of balancing this issue than just nerfing another mechanic

For PvP's sake, I'd say yea, put that debuff on the first strike. If it's going to remain a 3 second, 225 ulti-cost debuff, being unable to surprise people with it is pretty lame. On the PvE end the raiders are going to get their cast times synced with calls/ addons anyway, it doesn't matter to them which strike applies the status.

What they said was "Major Vulnerability will receive some adjustments in a future patch to ensure it’s still a powerful tool, but cannot be stacked to the point where you want a world of only Necromancers. "

In practical terms I can imagine this being a form of cooldown. Perhaps MV could only be applied once per 30s per target, or something along those lines? With only basic ultigen from light attacks, an individual Necromancer can get a Colossus up in 112 seconds, so a 30s CD would limit useful Necros to four at most, instead of 8-10.

Actualy, that is entirely possible. There is already cooldown for off-balance debuff so implementing cooldown for major vulnerability should be very similar case.

There is no cooldown or immunity whatsoever anywhere in the game for minor and major buffs and debuffs. It would be one of most stupid decisions and they will probably not go that way to preserve systems people are used to.
