There is definitely some reason why they are holding back on the patch notes and it's not this event. We're not in the company so we don't know, but someone higher up said to put those notes on hold for a day and find an excuse.

There is not much chance that someone said "Hold up. My super fun event that nobody knew about until now isn't ready for this pts cycle. Hold off on the entire pts update completely for an extra day instead of just adding this event in for next week"

This are the patch notes I've been waiting for to decide to either drop the game or give it another chance.

The least they could do was told us earlier they would release it the day after.

Everytime I think they outdone theirs self's they surprise me lol.

I don't particularly care about events ( a bit burned out on them to be honest), but I respect the decision to market and announce the event in a way that they feel is appropriate for those that do actually like them and care.

I'm so over events at this point. And new zones without any new arenas/dungeons/trials. I know that dungeons and trials aren't usually released at this time of year, but I'm bored to tears with vMA, vDSA, and the like right now. I'm not sure that I could possibly care less about new quests and junk.

What is this poll??? Yes, I care about the new event, but I don’t care whether it is announced with the patch notes or separately, so long as I know about things when they happen (or ideally a few days before, I’m happy). Sure, I’m anxious to know what changes and events are coming up, but I can be patient.

No one cares about a new event or additional content - or even the content in the new DLC. If the combat notes don't dramatically reverse direction from the initial release, players aren't going to be here for the content anyway.

I honestly believe that there will be a "little" adjustment to what was first published but I fully expect they will go live with it as was proposed (just like they went forward with the OP DoTs in U23).

What will be curious to see, however, is if ZoS wakes up AFTER they go live with it to a drastically reduced player base and then thinks they can fix it with U25 after people are gone. My bet is the answer will be NO.

I really do not believe they have a clue just how bad people are acting towards these drastic back and forth combat changes like the game is alpha. Gina really should get links to their well known influencers (Alcast, Dottz, Fengrush, et al.) and send them to the team there to see just how bad this is going over.

I'm not saying, don't ever release new events. I'm just failing to see how that is relevant to the combat changes people are waiting to see. And I didn't like the tone, needed to read the room a little better in my opinion.

If it's, as I'm guessing, a treasure hunt type event added for the Witches Festival, then I am intrigued.

Edit: Disregard that. It was already tested on PTS.

While I kinda understand them wanting to hold off for an official announcement on an event, it would take 60seconds at most to delete that page from the notes & publish the rest tonight.

I'd say that 60seconds would be time well spent in terms of keeping customers on side & preventing more negative feelings.

and probably will be bugged for longer time at all even when it will go on live so why even think and try to introduce just another senseless event like who the heck will even not care but even who will play this event if combat changes on pts wont change at all? definitelly noone with brain able to do just veteran content, no, I dont meant endgame, I mean just even easy basic veteran content with wich have problem any RP at which ZOS cleary is changing game, combat etc for them while throwing away every other skilled player from this game

Probably nope. The only event I really enjoyed was last IC event. This was a blast! Except of it I really like new life festival but because it's so relaxing and a bit because it brings some good memories. Other than those, ESO events are tiring like hell.
