PTS Update 24 - Feedback Thread for New Life Festival

This is the official feedback thread for the New Life Festival event. Specific feedback that the team is looking for includes the following:

• Did you get any of the new Charity Writs?
• Did you like the new Outfit Style?
• Do you have any other general feedback?

No.

Couldn't tell you, never saw any.

I had half expected a envelope like the one you included for the Witches Fest, that was not the case. I went ahead and plodded along to do the first days New Life quests. After completing all nine available quests, I opened all the boxes at once. The result was a lot of the usual suspects (Mudball Runebox, Skinchanger Motif pages, disposable Sword Swallower Blades, etc) ONE New Life Charity Writ, and 0 of the new Charity Writs. I never did any more New Life quests.

I explain all that to say, at what point do we get to enjoy the events again? Dont get me wrong, I am glad your trying to add new aspects to the events for those of us who have been around for a while, but in the process your just adding more grind. After about three of the quests, I was suddenly reminded of how tedious they have become for me, and I know I'm not alone in this. At this stage in the game I would only be completing the quests just for those new writs, and would instead end up with a bunch more of the same items I have trouble GIVING away. Can you find no other way to add something new to the events?

Yes. Just the thing for when we all sail off to Skyrim.

I would agree with this. I thought about testing this on the weekend, and then I remembered how tedious the daily tasks are. Last year, I participated only enough to get the skin. Even then, I ended up with half a dozen or more duplicate bathing towels that I couldn't even give away, not to mention the juggling, swallowing, fire-breathing mementos that I couldn't give away either. The mudball pouch seemed to be less frequent, so I think I was able to sell that one a couple times.

I know that you don't want players to just get the new stuff within a few days, but please TONE DOWN the drop rate for the other items that have been in the game for several times now. Specifically the collectibles that you couldn't even give away last year. At least with the Skinchanger motif, you can learn them on alts if you want. But once you have the collectibles, all future runeboxes become a stone around your neck - weighing you down since you can't put them in your own bank, and they don't stack, and nobody wants them.
