I give up on Magsorc

Im basically never on this forum, but i had to say.. Magsorc is simply dead.
I have access to almost every viable set in the game, with millions in my bank, i tried everything possible on a sorc.

Now listen. you cannot be tanky. you cannot have high damage. no matter what you use. this is the result.
Believe it or not, even with Imperial physic this is unreachable.
All compared to other classes ofcourse .

If you disagree, is it because you can dot people up? can be purged by 90% of templars on this patch, and then all youre damage is gone. tried it with about 5 main and major dots and still low damage.
Can you burst people? Well... spammable->Entropy->Curse->streak->Meteor->CF will never kill any player on PS4 in one burst. no matter how squishy they are. Not to mention it takes a lot of time to "burst".
Can you atleast be tanky and just put pressure over a longer period of time? 35k resistances, 40k health(Imperial Physic), 50K mag, 2.3k recovery. those were my stats. getting pressured by 2 people will get you dead in no time. sure i can live if i put shields nonstop, but there is 0 chance of me killing any decent 2 players with 3k health recovery and 5k weapon damage. 0 chance.
Not to mention a stamplar can burst these stats. an actual burst.

I just remember a few years ago how magsorc was.. i just want a possiblity for it to be like that.
Right now i have everything, i tried everything, this patch with all the dots, sorc is simply the hardest and worst class. BY FAR. If you dont main sorc and here to tell me i dont know what im talking about, i dont wanna hear it. Ive been on sorc for a long time, i wont say it for no reason. there is nothing to be done to this class to make it viable this patch.

Im a filthy sorc eso virgin of below 500 hours ingame right. Only play that class atm. I can see how.. weak compared to other classes a magsorc is BUT as someone who likes to play as an actual "sorc" i like my direct damage attacks, wrath, frags, crushing shocks.. even with my semi decent* equiptment i get slaughtered from even a rock touching my leg, it does get annoying quite fast. Cant even go 1v1 in pvp with another class.
That said, maybe im wrong, but its not that weak also. It just feels like not-as-good as some other classes.
Im ok with dying from a leaf blown from a tree.. but atleast compensate it with damage, yano?

Every other class will have higher damage than that and be still be tanky with 3k health recovery. look at stamplars. they will always be stronger than sorcs, and they dont even care about damage taken, did they get blown to 20% hp? just 1 roll dodge and theyre full and ready to attack with insta kill burst. as with a sorc you have to put shields, heal and then fight, that is if you dont have to keep spamming shields until death, and then you have to deal with crazy low damage. simply dumb. the passive heals on stamina is broken.

Yeah, magsorc definitely feels really bad this patch. Overcosted shield that is not even close to short HoT like vigor/regen. Other classes getting OP DoTs. Pets nerfed to ***. Everyone getting easy access to major sorcery which was one thing magsorcs had over some mag classes like Templar. Flame Clench/reach being absolutely garbage. I said it already but I’ll gladly say it again: I benched my sorc for any competitive pvp this patch simply because magplar is easily outperforming it and stam classes are way stronger in U23. Just dizzy swing burst, who needs to load up entropy and then line up crystal frags, curse, +spammable (optional meteor). Also any higher tiered player would be able to block meteor assuming they gloss over haunting curse going off soon. Just reroll a class if you want ez pvp.

Ill keep riding with my FILTHY SORC still. Im not here to chase the meta or be Number One (Robbie already has that title), it just feels awkward trying to improve while other people go:

It's amazing how many people overlook this and can somehow say "sorc doesn't have good burst compared to x" with a straight face. This is why I said OP sounds like he has no clue what he's talking about.

I main MagSorc and do just fine. I explode people with no problems unless they are completely on top of their defenses and even then usually still burst them down. And this is only going to get easier next patch when all this passive damage via DoTs(and some key abilities like dswing) is nerfed down while our shields stay the same and our burst heal become outrageous.

The cards are stacked against magsorcs this patch. Templars are everywhere and they purge half your dps (curse and any dots you apply) I felt like it was moved into a zergling class and be pretty much a janitor with its executes. Im sure you can still effectively play and get decent results but it is swimming against the meta not with it. Fear not OP, for next patch dots are getting sacked, we will have our crit surge again and might even put on flappy flap again for fat daedric heals.

Matriarch currently heals quite *** for its magicka cost. Streak SUCKS on PTS, you should try it. It is definitely better used offensively on live atm.

I dunno Meteor to streak is pretty reliable since streak is unblockable.

I’ve X’d plenty this patch on my magsorc. It took me a while to adapt to the changes but I have found the build and I am actually stronger than I was last patch. 100k gold for the build

Agreed as far as burst. Magsorc was forced into a heavy transition. The pet meta was destroyed and it became more of a traditional setup.

With streak being used as an offensive tool, simply timing Curse, meteor, wrath, streak and frag you can line them up to hit near simultaneously.

As far as survival, I tend to use shields to buy enough time to streak away and heal. Face tanking aint what it use to be.

Actually found this quite nice. Entropy + Elemental weapon, frags curse and streak. :P

Magsorc burst is just fine and still some of the best of any class. Like many have said drop meteor for a different ult and if templars are such a problem learn to use negate. Negate + stun is so much lockdown in this game if you do it right. I've wiped templar healer premades with a streak negate combo in BGs.

Dot nerf coming up will be a net buff to magsorc relative to other classes too.

Ever played a magblade? I'd say the average magsorc has come in line with that. An IP pet sorc in IC was grossly OP in the past. If you're yearning back for that, I cannot support you. If you're, however, saying that magsorcs - or at least the average magsorc - has been taken down below the average DK / templar / stamden, I tentatively agree. I'm not afraid of them anymore. Good sorcs will still streak and burst the crap out of my magblade, but they're not OP by default.

I mean before the murkmire patch. The add resistances to shields made every mag class so not fun. and ofcourse way less powerful. and now with more buffs to DOTS, the shields are meaningless even with 35k resistances. simply dumb! sorc needs to be the highest hitting class, as its is all single target pressure and he has no survivability anymore, but no even that is gone. so whats the point of a sorc?

Just because you're having skill issues with sorcs doesn't mean everyone else is. And if you don't even play the class regularly idek why you're even here with any opinions because at that point you're the equivalent of a kid on facebook with an anime profile pic, your opinion doesn't matter. It's honestly hilarious just because you can kill a few random sorcs that means every sorc can't do well or 1vX. Sorry kid but it's still 100% possible to X and PvP on a sorc.

I played only sorc for years. i have every viable set and i know everything and tested everything. It is simply the worst class at the moment. Im talking top tier solo or Duel, its simply not viable even. every class will burst you down. you have *** heals, your shields break in 1 attack. not to mention dots on top.

Now enough about me, you didnt convince me that you know anything about a sorc. simply saying ÿou dont know"is not much of sales pitch. So get into specifics. come on. im waiting. enlighten me.

That moment you get butthurt over being called kid thus proving you are indeed a kid since no self respecting grown adult would react like that over something so silly.

If that were true and you did have all that you wouldn't be spouting the unintelligent nonsense you've stated. Aside from that, worst class? That's a clear joke and if it isn't you're only proving my point kiddo.

Here's some advice you adorable little tyke, learn how to use proper positioning and learn how to use your mobility well instead of trying to face tank everything with your shields as if this is an older patch and you might have a better time like the rest of us who actually know how to sorc.

The only thing Sorc should receive is a more unique effect for his shields since right now are pretty much the same as the light armor version...

It's amazing how many people overlook this and can somehow say "sorc doesn't have good burst compared to x" with a straight face. This is why I said OP sounds like he has no clue what he's talking about.

I main MagSorc and do just fine. I explode people with no problems unless they are completely on top of their defenses and even then usually still burst them down. And this is only going to get easier next patch when all this passive damage via DoTs(and some key abilities like dswing) is nerfed down while our shields stay the same and our burst heal become outrageous.

Also Meteor is useless. Don't use it. You are only showing your enemy when your burst will occur so that he can block and mitigate your damage.

My build is taking into account surviavbility. not just running around with no sustain and no resistances and hoping to kill someone. you all sound like zergs i swear. I know you all never duel just in one sentence.

when i read comments about dieing in 1 global while having 35K resists - i immediately recognize the author of the post is not a regular pvp player. I haven't had 30K+ resists on any toon i've played much less a light armor caster.

sorc feels great right now. not nearly as OP as it was with the old matriarch but still very deadly. the mobility of streak alone will always keep sorc relevant in the top tier discussions of pvp classes. Add in the potent burst of curse, frag, fury and sorc is very lethal.

positioning and timing are important on this light armor class - as it should be. if you are dieing on a sorc and giving up, it truly is a L2P issue.

sorc feels great right now. not nearly as OP as it was with the old matriarch but still very deadly. the mobility of streak alone will always keep sorc relevant in the top tier discussions of pvp classes. Add in the potent burst of curse, frag, fury and sorc is very lethal.

positioning and timing are important on this light armor class - as it should be. if you are dieing on a sorc and giving up, it truly is a L2P issue.

My build is taking into account surviavbility. not just running around with no sustain and no resistances and hoping to kill someone. you all sound like zergs i swear. I know you all never duel just in one sentence.
