I would say dots do need some tweaking still (turned up) but overall. I enjoy the direction of the patch.
Great job zos! Hopefully the next pts patch works to tweak that final part.

-Magicka feels in a good spot.
-Hybrids actually possible. Great damage great healing, new viable weapon combinations opening up.
It does feel like we are going In the direction of Magicka, Hybrid & tanks.
Full on stamina needs some tweaks but I wouldn't be upset if hybrid took over stamina because it brings utility and class identity.
What do yall think?

I have some clips of my friend I could post making a proper hybrid templar.
It's weird being hit by dark flare, burning light, executioner and it actually doing good damage.
Alot of thoerycrafting doors have opened.

    New Moon Acolyte
    2 – 833 Weapon and Spell Critical
    3 – 129 Weapon and Spell Damage
    4 – 1487 Physical and Spell Penetration
5 – Adds 481 Weapon and Spell Damage. Increase the cost of your active abilities by 5%.
    +
    Shacklebreaker
(2 items) Adds 129 Weapon Damage
(3 items) Adds 129 Spell Damage
(4 items) Adds 129 Magicka Recovery and Stamina Recovery
(5 items) Adds 2000 Maximum Magicka and Maximum Stamina.

Are very hybrid friendly, but not optimal.

Thoerycrafting is fun, but hardly effective or practical.

Magicka feels in a good spot? Did I miss something in the patch notes and magicka got magicka version of Relequen or some another hard carrying set?

What would really help is the dumbing down/ fusing together of some stats. Penetration or crit modifiers (chance/ dmg). But at least there is a glimps of hope that the former get's looked at, according to the patch notes:
Abilities and item sets that grant Physical and Spell Resistances now grant an equal amount of both as a singular stat – Armor – rather than 2 separate stats.
Many item sets that granted X Spell or Physical Resistance now grant .5X Armor. This was done to ensure total power remains the same, with less variance in these stats.
Passives that grant a unique source of one have not been adjusted.
Major and Minor Resolve now grant an equal amount of Physical and Spell Resistance, and Major and Minor Ward have been discontinued.
Note that this has not yet happened to Fracture and Breach or forms of Penetration

I am hopeful as I like hybrid characters. I get to make more builds for them depending on different things I could be doing.

    Sorry on mobile.
But that's from tests using the sets you mentioned.
Its viable. It's pretty tanky and good damage.

Hybrids feel like they hit harder and can tank more compared to stam atm.

They have their advantages, but still have the weakness of sustain or damage output (crit). However, since ZOS nerfed everyone's sustain, they will start to look better versus other options in PvP, even without New Moon Acolyte.

Pretending I like the changes (thing that is not - I'm completely against them), who told you all of this will stay if changes NEVER stay? Don't get too comfortable.

After live patch, wait a few more months for all this to crumble again, as ZOS has become a loop of maniac nonsense changes.

If Hybrids become good only 2 classes will be able to pull it off properly, Dark Elf Wardens and Dark Elf DK's only because they have one skill that gives both Major Brutality and Sorcery.. other classes wont be viable because they will need to take up multiple skill slots to get both.

Edit: I forgot to also mention CP, you dont have enough points to put in for both magicka and stamina to make the useful.

As of Dragonhold, Sorc's Surge and both morphs have Major Sorcery and Brutality too.

With that said. That's why I feel like its gonna become magicka, hybrid and tanks.

Are we talking PvP here? But hybrids have always been possible there.

What precisely makes hybrids more viable this patch, then?

Never truly viable tho. Because of most of the time is was better to go full stam or magicka.

But they gave pretty much all classes both major sorcery and brutality at the same time.
New sets that increase damage to both sources
Duel wield/resto or 2H/resto is worth now possibly.
So yeah when I say good I mean competitive with powerful pvp builds.

I mean the new sets help but yeah Dark elves have best stats for Hybrid and i can't make one because their height slider is too short.

As long as the base level of the game requires choices between mag/stam. WD/SD, WC/SC, and similar areas in CP hybrids will always fall behind. While I think it is good options are available for those who want to play hybrids I do not think Zos needs to make them equal as it serves no real benefit to the game.

What's the benefit of the mag/stam divide?

It lets certain players enjoy a dominance over another for a while using builds that are pushed to one extreme of mag or stam, then get destroyed by them later. Oh and it also leads to terrible balancing and bland gameplay! That's always a plus...

It would not be a stretch to say it may also be the root of all recent nerfs.

Hybrids in PvE are just bad due to limited skill slots. There is nothing a hybrid build gives you in a trial environment that you can't achieve with better results on a "pure" build
