Is that true or am I missing something, so no new mechanics like trasmutaion in clockwork city, or a trial like BRP in Murkmire or Maelstrom arena in Wrothgar..

If its just about the story is it truly worth it? will it be free?

Its a DLC it will most likely cost some crowns to buy but if you have ESO+ you will be able to play it without buying it.

Its a new small zone, same kind of scale as Murkmire/Gold coast/Hews bane etc...

They have the conclusion of the Season of the Dragon storyline, and a second zone to hunt Dragons, other than that expect the same sort of stuff that is in the zones I mentioned above.

I think that they're not releasing any new trial/arena in order to focus on improving the game's stability and performance.

Murkmire added a Black Rose Prison

Hew’s Bane (Thieve’s Guild DLC) added Maw of Lorkhaj and the Thieve’s Guild skill line

Gold Coast (Dark Brotherhold DLC) added the meat of the justice system, and the Dark Brotherhood skill line.

Dragonhold had better be bringing the performance fixes ZOS promised but I have doubts we’ll get any worthwhile changes.

It's no BRP, but there will be 6 new sets (3 overland, 3 crafted). Likely at leeeast one can be used in PvP or bring something to casual PvE, but the vet trial meta is stricter ...

They should make it a free login reward like murkmire, doubt anyone will actually buy it just for a little extra story. I buy DLC btw the ones that i need all the time cause i only sub when I need some extra crowns and have as a bonus a free shot at the other less relevant DLC and emptying my mats into craftbag.

Performance changes should be free so I guess i might skip this one

Nothing they add has any substance or new content and not even anything to expand on lore in game wise. It's mainly just crown store promos if you look at it properly.

From the limited time I had to mess around with it, it looked pretty snazzy. So off of first impressions, I'm inclined to say, "yes, it will be worth it," but that's, ultimately, a very personal question no one else can answer for you.

Also, something we were told about, but couldn't see for ourselves, there's actually two chunks of story. There's the zone's story content, and then a second act that is available if you've finished both Dragonhold and Elsweyr. That will wrap up Season of the Dragon. So, if you're a fan of the writing, you should be getting your money's worth.

That said, if you're really not into the single player content at all, and just want more group content, this isn't going to do much for you, (though some of the free improvements launching alongside it should make your life easier.)

Well i'm into single player stuff, but quests and overland stuff are just too easy that it just becomes to boring, still havent finished Elswyr story even though I'm a huge RPG single player games fan. ESO just doesnt bring any excitement to story content

I think we should wait and see what performance improvements come with this patch. We have many times said that we would prefer performance patches over content patches.
I think this year will shape up to be quantitavely less than previous years with the only system addition being the Necromancer class but if they give us a significant performance improvement this patch, I think people will be happy.
    So let's wait and see

Do they usually announce all the details of new DLC’s at once? Maybe they’re holding back some details. Maybe not. I’m waiting and seeing, still holding out hope for a new solo or duo arena.

No. At least, they wouldn't hold something like that back. It'll hit PTS today, so we'll know soon enough if something was held back from the initial announcements, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Murkmire added BRP because there was no other trial or arena added that year.

    We got Sunspire with Elsweyr

I don't think they ever said they were adding 2 trials/arenas every year.

Pretty sure they would would announce an new mini trial or major features.
And yes its looks pretty slim, now I could accept that if zone was larger than CWC or Murkmire but its confirmed to be CWC sized. note that it also reuse plenty of Elsweyr assets, this is expected as its another Khajiit zone but it makes it fast to make compared to CWC.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

What? Cloudrest sounds familiar? In 2018 we got CR (mini trial) and BRP (arena), in 2017 we got HoF (full trial) and AS (mini trial) so this year about end game content is shame

Yea I couldn't remember when that was released exactly. Either way the still never said they would do 2 trials/arenas every year. I'd rather they not pump them out so fast that the quality sucks.

Honestly I'm still trying to get a group to to Sunspire ice boss HM after my progression group broke up because some of them had to go back to school and others just hated the last update.

Well yeah they dont have to add a trial or something, but a new DLC without a new mechanic, class, trial, dungeon is just good to be finished once at best and then what?

    Just my opinion

If it has a new zone to explore and quest in, I'm happy.

I do understand the feeling of DLC that do not provide what you seek though. I ignore DLC group dungeons (and anything else I can't solo or don't enjoy due to silly obtuse mechanics) so quite a few of the DLCs provide nothing at all for me.

Thieves guild and Dark brotherhood are the story elements of those DLC, the skill lines are apart of that.

Doubt they are going to add a new skill line in the next DLC but since they have not mentioned anything regarding one I did not comment about it.

I referred to those zones Murkmire included since they are the smaller DLC types that this next one is going to be as well.

I did not comment on any unique feature the zone might have aside from more Dragon hunting because, they haven't said anything regarding this yet, can't make a full comparison with other DLC's features that have already been released at this time can only comment about the info the provided.

When I said the same kind of things as those zones I was referring to, World bosses, Delves etc.. normal overland stuff they include in those zones.

We don't know what unique features they are going to add at this stage, so I didn't comment on stuff I had no info about it yet.

I answered OP question with the info available, not going to guess about stuff that has not been revealed yet.
