several thousand of us update, launch and play the game daily without running into the issues you are seeing. This absolutely sounds like a localized problem. If it were an ESO issue it would be happening to everyone, or at least many people. It’s not.

Lag, disconnects when lots of combat messages are being sent, guild history instability, broken quest phases, broken skills, broken break-free, inability to properly calculate cc immunity, crap communication and customer service, these are all ESO problems. These are things that impact the majority of the player base.

The fact that you can’t launch the game is a you problem. And it sounds like you’re using both the Steam launcher and the ESO launcher is compounding the problem.

Right, so the fact that the launcher refuses to download everything in one go from the server is a problem on my computer? Glad I decided to quit anyhow, instead of keep messing with broken stuff. And to add to that: I wont miss this rotten community one bit.

That's a problem with ESO's Steam integration. You simply didn't install the latest version of the game from Steam, and the ESO launcher will fix that and patch it up again. It's just one of the reasons why it's not a good idea to buy and launch ESO through Steam.

The problem of having to use repair straight after a new install is without using steam alltogether. The whole launcher is crooked.

This community is a bunch of hypocrits to boot too. Everyone is complaining about the state of the game, but the moment you got a problem its allways caused by your pc ir connection, and not ZoS. I refuse to be a part of this any longer.

I play xbox but it's pretty usual with a game I play to have the basic install and then to require a patch update when I launch it.

This thread does seem to have gotten a little off-track but I wouldn't put the game down because of installation problems / the forum community.

In terms of community, the forum is really not representative of the MMO and IMO tends to draw the more out-spoken, opinionated and biased individuals from the wider community (not saying this is a good or a bad thing, just something I've noticed).

In terms of where the game is at - it's fine. Patches come along and change-up gameplay (patch 23 which just hit was a real doozy and my mag sorc is still not perfect at his rotation) but the forums will indicate that these are the end of days.

Obviously do what you want but I'd recommend persevering a little longer, properly playing the game, and then deciding whether or not it's for you.

    Good luck

That doesn't sound like eso's problem. My computer doesn't have issues.

No problem with my PC either. Doesn't sound like an ESO issue to me either.

Love it when people come and say “did you check your connexion?” “Did you check your computer””must be on your side”

    Launcher is bugged like hell

Anyone who played a little bit of eso knows that

I play eso for years now and have no problem whatsoever with the launcher. Yes there are things on eso's side that need to be looked at and like said before they are going to deal with that, but what the topic starter says sounds truly that the problem is on his side. Just send a ticket and they tell you what to send them and then they help you pinpoint the problem. The helpdesk/customer service is very nice and always willing to help.

Have you tried to contact support for launcher issue? I did and they couldnt help...
I sent them the solution after i found it online and twisted it a little bit... they didnt even thank you

We even have a thread in our guild forum on how it looks launcher is coded by an intern

The fact that you dont have a problem does not mean it does not affect others
