Finally some love to PVP players, once or twice a year. This event has brought loads of fun and life into pvp. We PVP players deserve more love.

Thanks ZOS this event is excellent. Do more of them. Thank you on behalf of the underdog PVP community that's overlooked.

ZOS uses Events and the "fear of missing out" to get players to at least try different types of content. They don't care if you (or me, or any one of us) as an individual like it or not.

    This event you can either
    Try PvPvE in Imperial City
Or run the Imperial City Dungeons.

If you don't like either one or can't do them due to lag or some such, too bad. Choose one, buy tickets or do without. Working as intended.

(The marketing department is not actually your friend. They are marketing the game to the whole of the playerbase and you and me etc. are one data point among many, whatever option you choose.)

I'm rarely in the Imperial City. I like to be there and the quests there are good, it just feels so empty. It's a lot of fun to be there now during the event.

So yup agreed. Don't get why so many are complaining. Don't like it don't go there, do a dungeon. But you can't complain if you haven't even been to IC before.

Wait, did ZOS change the rules or nobody else can read? It seems the second.

Because you can get your event tickets by finishing damned DUNGEONS, like White-Gold Tower.

Well, they are giving away the DLC for free.

I hate PVP but have been lucky enough to get tickets in IC and the sewer without too much difficulty. Once I get my tickets, I don't mind paying a little Telvar to be transported to the exit. :D

if you gather up a nice stash of stones, and, find yourself far from base, or, in a sticky situation you can try to find a quiet spot and queue for one of the cyro campaigns - that'll help get you and your stones out of IC in one peice...

real happy to see IC become part of the base game...IC is a really unique "open world" environment for pvp...lots of structures and npcs to help keep fights fresh...

personally I love the suspense it brings to doing quests and regular ol' pve stuff...

also, there's a ton of provisioning stuff to loot in the area...

no doubt if you use a magblade, or, stay/shadow a group you'll have a much more successful visit...

some of my favorite quests in the game are in those districts...my favorite is the one where you need to assist those soldiers that don't die and keep coming back to life in the nobles district...

defending those doors is pretty challenging solo, especially with enemy players around, but - the idea of a small group of imperial soldiers hanging on in that situation is pretty cool...

Was actually good for me last night, not even just alright or acceptable, but properly good. I did have some lower frame rates than I should have, but nothing that impaired functionality.

I think the event has been great. For me, it’s always a challenge facing content that I normally don’t do. And I have to say, I am absolutely impressed with the skills of some PVP players. One on one, I know I don’t stand a chance but I love the challenge. And I suspect the people I’ve killed are wearing PVE gear.

If your listening to the dialog in IC you should be immune from being attacked seeing you cant defend yourself in that state. Thats my only problem with doing PvE quests in PvP mode.

Yeah this event is not bad.

However pvp is hardly the underdog in this game. For being the least amount of content in the game, pvp has the most amount of control over the game’s direction.

I wasn’t looking forward to it because the first and last time I was in IC wasn’t particularly fun. To be fair I was just there to complete a master writ back before I was in a guild with all the crafting stations, so I didn’t go in with a particularly open mind. I already got the berry from tickets from the previous event but I decided to try it out anyways. We beat back a group of EP just outside our base doors then pressed ahead. I was planning to just do one of those mini bosses, but the one I knew about was dead so I kept going. Found another one with a couple others, realized belatedly that it had flags on its back, but we managed to down it and not get ganked. Went up top, wandered around a bit, killed a few, got killed a few, got utterly lost, and had a blast.
May have to come back again somewhat regularly, maybe even do the quest.

yeah, I don't really get that vibe...fights definitely seem to end a lot quicker, and, I don't get near as dizzy :#

unlike fighting around keeps, outposts and resources - most of the npcs (except flag guards) are neutral...it's fun to see if you can get an enemy player to aggro the npcs while fighting them...

also pretty exciting to have a group chasing you down, but, being able to run into a building and figure out a way to sneak away with all your stones intact...

having said all that, I spend way more time in cyro than IC - but, a big part of that is just my preference for large melees (i love the chaos, and, relaxing nature of the gameplay)...

definitely hoping it draws more players in now that it's free...

hopefully at some point zos buffs some of those gear sets to draw more folks in...wouldn't hurt either to allow us to rez on any friendly alliance platform up in the districts...

plus, allow the reach passive to work again on those district platforms...it was nice to just hang out and fish for stones in peace...

Totally with you here. IC presents an environment like nowhere else in the game and I hope desperately the devs promote and preserve it.
The fear of losing tel var, the anxiety of getting ganked, the buildings especially are my favorite. So many little passageways and holes in walls, just an extremely well done area IMO, up top and down below. Playing this last couple days has made me realize how much of an absolutely riot it is in there, it's so much fun. Fights are short and small groups are everywhere if you're looking.

If the devs are reading this post which they obviously are, I really hope they do this type of thing more regularly. The risk/reward and tense environment of IC is exactly what makes it so unique and special.

I second the OP great fun between questers and PvP'ers, loving it playing hide and seek with grown adults literally shrieking in delight or fear as they kill a ganker or get zerged down. It's true and unscripted fun.

I think so. My CP IC experience is more like no CP. imo? Rotate PvP months so one month Cyrodiil is open and the next it’s IC.

I have a magblade on each server, one max cp, one level 45 with no cp...took them both through cp ic today...turned up the ambiance, music, footsteps and dialogue volume levels and went about stealthily completing district missions...

the level 45 magblade was a little tougher to sustain with but, recovery pots helped a bunch...

I enjoy the relaxed, kicked back pace of cyro and large melee fighting, enjoy the constant action of daily random battlegrounds (great way for pvpers to level their characters or skills)...I don't really duel outside of cyro, ic, or battlegrounds...

IC is something different all together from other pvp - it has the pace of both cyro and battlegrounds, but - the personal nature/grudge match of in your face dueling...

I would love to get another wide open pvpve area in a different environment we can have fun in...

Yep - it’s been great - pretty much the entire vet CP population on NA disappeared into IC so I got to finish off my Cyro fishing in complete peace lol.

Taking several thousand stones from AD and DC in the sewers has also been pretty fun too😈

    10/10 from me.
