It's just 16.6k tooltip per second.
Which is not good, especially when it's overtimes, is a very long channel and leave you completly vulnerable.
Soul assault is a BAD ultimate that only perform well when you zerg a solo player or use it agaisnt a complete noob.
As a necro, with 3 goods ultimates, you should really use something else.5 -

Sure it can be blocked, but even then it'll eat your stam up unless you spec for blocking which nobody besides tanks do. Only way you have a chance against this is if you purge the other 2 30k dots on you and stay on your back bar healing while blocking for 6 seconds (or LoS) so sorcs/nbs/dks/wardens will have trouble with going against this, temps and necros have the best chance against it.
And you think you can out damage that dot and go offense with it on you? Big mistake thats exactly what I want.0 -

1. I have a mender that heals for 10k that will be with me the whole time im channeling it, plus 1k heal per sec from pot and entropy. Im also a high elf so I get 5% dmg reduction when channeling. Plus vampire which means I have reactionary major protec if i do get low on HP.
2. SA is a heaving hitting dot for single target...other options are comet thats has even more counterplay to it and since i have no CC it would be pointless to use. Colossus is good if youre using grave grasp (which i do use in group play) but if you cant lock down your target, its easy to avoid and you wasted a 225 ult.

Boi passive healing will not save you from dots zerglings.
And if you are vs an half good player you will just waste your ultimate.
You need to stun ur ennemy into blastones into the colosseus. That's how it work.2 -

✭✭✭✭✭I use Soul Assault as an execute on my Magden DOT build. Hit them with structured entropy, fletcher, soul trap, destro reach, and then execute with SA. Works pretty well.4 -

Only weakness it has is the lack of mobility and CC. Lack of mobility just means I have to watch my placement in a fight and have a plan B if I gotta move. Lack of CC isnt to bad since im using an ult that doesnt require me to stun necessary and ATM mag stuns are kinda doo doo if you dont have a class hard cc
