OP- attractive is subjective and in your case, highly relative. I find all of the characters posted unattractive and poorly proportioned. Somewhat presumptuous to post a guide for "attractive" character creation.

For whomever posted the orc - it's objectively ugly like every other orc. Pretty sure I saw you posting the same pic in another thread trying to get applause for it there too. It's still ugly. LOL

    subjectivity is implied

    [snip] For a moment there I thought I was having a middle-aged moment :D

As for creating good looking characters, I usually just fiddle around randomly until I'm bored with it (which doesn't take long) and console myself with the fact that I play exclusively in first person and so I only need to look at its' ugly mug in character selection and inventory screens. That's why I don't care what colour my gear is either.

Making a topic on discussing attractiveness is hard i guess, u cant sell your own preferences to everyone. People have different tastes and what u find attractive others might find absolutely horrible. Tho i like posts were people just post the characters they themself find amazing looking cause with a lot of people comes alot of diversity and u can often see very interesting things.

Heres my Breton Templar as an example. I find her very good looking and i build her looks up with a theme in mind - even tho i like her i am sure others prefer completely different looks or aesthetics.

Its not just that OPs characters all have max sized chest.... he also made the shoulders extremely small. It almost looks like they don't even have shoulders, only neck and chest. Its not so much the huge chest that makes them look deformed, its the lack of shoulders.

The boobs... It's always obvious when a dude creates toons. As the owner of a set of boobs let me tell you how uncomfortable those would be.

I generally follow the same body type: thin, short, sliders all the way down for everything but torso (I like for them to look athletic, so I make sure that their shoulders are wider than their hips), chest (like... 20% from the lowest; the lowest looks strange), and waist (again, less definition for the athletic factor). My toons all stay fully-clothed in armor, so the reason I turn stuff all the way down is that armor can bulk them up. If I wanted to show skin I'd make the body type more on the athletic side and leave legs and arms with a bit more meat on them.

Face: I play Bosmer and Breton chars, all female. I was unhappy when I realized that if I wanted to min-max a magicka toon I wouldn't be able to play Bosmer, so I had to tweak the Breton quite a bit. Their presets look so demure and it drives me insane. I want my chars to look like bad@sses. And also elves. To make my Breton look more like an elf I minimized her jaw size, turned the cheekbones down, and generally tried to give her that pointy - chinned elf look. Across toons, eyes are always turned up as high as they can do, with a bit of squint. I angled the Breton's eyes more too. Eyebrows always take me the longest--I like a slight smirk, so I have to get those right. Mouth slightly upturned. They all have the same hairstyle because I found what I like, and why ruin a good thing?

I saved this pic from Discord and realized that it may look like a shameless brag. It's the only pic I've got of Anriel, so I'm posting it anyway. Unintentional brag... Anyway, not the best shot, but I'm on my phone and too lazy to go get a better screenshot.

    LTQyG4U.jpg

Anyway, eye of the beholder and all, but I find it so interesting to see differences between female toons that dudes create and those that chicks create. Not a fan of a lot of dude-created female toons.

Here is my guide for characters in this game. Have fur or scales and a tail. Set sliders in a way that makes it look like you actually tried to make them look decent. And that's the end of this guide. Well done!

I usually create my characters with following method:
    1. Decide what style you want: a mage, a warrior or a thief/assassin
    2. Press randomise appearance until the character looks fine-ish
    3. Fine tune the things that looks a bit off (like max chest size or max posterior dimensions, no warrior or a mage or a thief needs those)

We all like what we like and that is fine, but the facial proportions of your chars are all wrong, to be considered classically good looking, for a woman.

In terms of the eye distance to nose tip ratio, they're more like the proportions of a man (i.e. the triangle is too long) and then the distance between their noses and most of their mouths is too short (and not just because they have full lips).

Basically, their noses are too long and their mouths might also be a little too high.

Eyes are too close together - the rule of thumb is that they should be one eye width apart.

So, the larger the eyes, the further they should be apart.

Face is also extemely narrow and will look even narrower in game.

That is probably why you moved the eyes closer together, so they weren't so much on the outer edges of it.

To be fair, it's pretty hard to make a char look the way you want to first time, in this game, as the char creation screen can be misleading.

All you can do is start with an actual face you want your char to look like and then attempt to copy it, as far as you can.

It will normally take several goes, if you do it from scratch.

Either that, or you could find a char you think looks close to what you want and ask for the "recipe".

Might have to buy them an appearance change token to find out, though, if they haven't taken screenshots.

Yeah, all of your character have the same issues. Lips and breasts too large and they all have the dead eye look. If you want to make attractive characters in this game, you have to fix the dead eye issue.

Look at the post of the bald female templar on the second page of this thread. No dead eye look. You may not find her attractive, as that is subjective, but she doesn't have the creepy eyes.

Why are some of their breasts so large? The dunmer especially looks like she would have a backache all the time...

They look bigger because a) the face is so narrow and b) the torso is set on min size, so they're out of proportion.

If they had wider faces and an average sized torso, they would look far less extreme.

Also, the arms are very small, so are probably set on min size, too, which adds to the totally out of proportion look.

You can't actually make breasts extremely large, in this game, but you can make everything else, upper body-wise, tiny and that is exactly what OP has done, lol.

I notice he's not showing us their bottom halves.

Probably because he doesn't like them much (if he likes extemely slight women), as he can't make them small enough to fit, as he has made the top halves (aside from the breasts) so small.

Looks like all these characters just follow the same archetype..
Do we really need a guide on "attractiveness"? People should be capable to decide on their own lmao
Sure, thanks to the OP for the effort but... *shrugs*

To be fair, if someone is struggling to make a char that looks the way they want it to look, it might be very helpful if there were screenshots of sliders of a char they liked, or that was close to what they were going for, to show how to do it.

However, the general consensus here appears to be that these particular slider settings are not generally going to be the ideal ones for most people to follow.

A lot depends on who they're trying to attract. Each race will have preferences (usually for someone who looks like they do). So an attractive Dunmer may have an overly angular face by Nord standards. An Argonian's feathers and spines will contribute nothing, unless you're also an Argonian who appreciates them.

It's impossible to make a classically (as opposed to subjectively) good looking female Bosmer profile.

The tip of the nose is too horizontal (more like a man's).

You should be able to make a straight bridge, but still have a slightly upturned tip.

My wife doesn't play ESO but since the beginning she's designed all my characters. Here's one of my favorites (redguard templar; yes I've stuck with my faithful redguard over orc :D) she did back when we got our tokens. She was going for Megan Markel and she's properly named Duchess of Sussex.

Not gonna bother with screenshots, since beauty is such a subjective thing, but since the topic was already brought up ...

I main a male Khajiit and I keep receiving whispers from other male Khajiit players more or less every day, telling me I'm beautiful. Not cool or badass or anything like that, but literally beautiful. I mean, heck, I'll take it, but it still really confuses me.
Nobody cares about your endless list of terribly-named characters.
