I am yet to see anything official on the matter? since I dont find it fair that most of us who work like slaves to get rich and actually play the game on another level especially when it comes to trading...and then due to this broken system a bunch of nobodies just turn out to be billionaires and since nobody says anything they will keep doing it thus destroying the market with forced inflation worse than it was just done right now? not to mention this is a direct spit in the face to everyone else who is a fair player who always report bugs and doesnt exploit? @ZOS_GinaBruno

Apparently they will be rewarded by doing nothing and letting them benefit from their unethical behaviors. I get it was not the players fault but still they should not benefit from this mistake made by ZoS.

ZoS seems reluctant to even communicate that this should be corrected.

this is this is not some tedious work they had to done in the 1st day since simply they could 1st roll back asap which was not done so this goes off the table, after that they could had simply track logs and remove or roll back the said players. now after days they will have a tedious work since the said players just laundered their money obviously with goods..again this is hard work but not really hard since there aren't 1 mil of guild owners on eu...

Well, I am no BB/Bleakers Grand Overlord and hell, DO I REGRET IT THAT I HAVE BEEN A GOOD BOI .
Can understand everyone who wanted to make profit because of it. I would also not call it an exploit, because nobody was actually doing something (unlike the cyro bug).... error from the game itself, should not be punished, IN NO F... WAY.

I mean come one, even guild history was disabled for some time.... that's so much "fail".
Easiest way is to just accept the error, and do something against it to prevent future dmg -> changing drop rates etc.
Unlike real economy, they can change everything they want ;).

EDIT: Only solution to it -> Pull the plug and do a rollback. But that's only possible during the first minutes/hours ... Now it's too late and not the playerbase (not even one) should be punished, but they should whip themselves.

ZOS have said they're working on a resolution, so we'll have to wait and see. I imagine that it's not a straightforward issue to fix, and they'll want to be sure it's fully tested before announcing it. They may also want to defer any announcement until the servers have been taken down to implement it should they be considering firm action against those who unwisely exploited the situation so as not to give any warning of what they were intending.

That said, the continuing silence since yesterday's update is somewhat disconcerting, not least as we're not that far off the first anniversary of their commitment to improve communications  !

No rollback was a surprise. It was undoubtedly the best solution for everyone and to me anyway, most comparable to the duping escapade.

It is clear, ZOS are investing less and less into ESO and more elsewhere. Performance is steadily getting worse and other unaddressed issues.

Any other solution other than a rollback will end with either ZOS breaking more things or ZOS doing nothing clearly showing they dont care the game just went into inflation overdrive with the most severe impact being on new players, which should always come into the game welcomed.

Don't eat your own. This is Zos' fault, not your fellow players. Worry about other players getting windfalls if/when they ever post what they intend to do about this.

Many of these guild that get more gold back lose their trade spot, thats mean they lose gold for ZOS fault.
Then i would say is everything ok, the others poor GM will use the extra gold for their guild.

We still have no proof the numbers are that high. Only one area is the most expensive, and there are only 7 traders on it if I recall. They aren't daft. They wouldn't use the same bid for a lower tier area. It just isn't logical, especially since no one knew what the outcome would be. Even with x4 it doesn't come to a billion. Plus, many guilds lost money because of no refunds, and many had no trader at all. If anything, the guilds need to be compensated for the inconveniences and loses this caused, which wasn't their fault. Besides, it's more than likely too late for a rollback away. Plus, an event was running. Anyone doing vet maelstrom for weapons, new motifs, or even vet anything, or farming skins,...... in the game would lose everything they did. That would impact people who didn't even partake in trading. Take a guess of how players will react to that.

The server economy is just fine. Prices and supplies are pretty much stable. So, the more likely solution is a patch. So this never happens again. Well, if it's patched correctly. Keep hope alive.

Have fun in the game. Cheers all :)

ZOS Selectively rolls back gains to what they should have been = CASH GRAB! ZOS DOESNT CARE!

Pretty sure those guys were already billionaires to begin with since they can afford to bid millions of gold for top trading spots.

Just delete your eso + and dont buy anything from clown store anymore. Say it to every one you know. Then it works.

Maybe the ppl above Gina get it then. Because they play ping pong testing on there testserver for max 12ppl and don't test any [snip]

*sigh* You are so ignorant of how this works. Most guilds who are able to get millions together scrape it together during the week with auctions, dues, and raffle sales. Then they bid with what they could gather, in a way, it isn't even their money. It's like everyone chipping in for rent. These are not stupid rich people, and I know no billionaires. I have the most money of anyone I know, and I don't come even CLOSE to a billion.
