Reroll the Bid tomorrow while the Servers are down!

Heres what i think happened, the Flip happened after 8:05, so ppl could hire Traders, then the Guilds who won the bid came on top of the ones that Hired them without bidding and broke the system...

So if you would just redo the bid tomorrow in the Downtime everything should be fine..

I don't think thats what happened. Absolutely no one was assigned any traders and people only went to get traders when realising they could get them manually.

In my G page everyting is as it should be, the problem is i if i go to the Trader there is another Guild on top.

Maybe its an Issue with the internal Priority System, but as far as i know the Flip should not have happened after the "free Hire process" after 8:05.

Obviously someone broke the "Bid's can no longer be placed while Trader Bidding is in Progress" that used to occur during the switchover.

I think there is no such Rule, i think the Time is the Rule for them. Obviously before tonight the Flip happened BEFORE someone could Hire.

So an Issue someone programmed years ago came up what we didnt see yet because the Time was always correct...

And since the UI (GPage and Guildfinder) clearly did the Bids, they just got done in the Wrong order..

I didn't say it was a "Rule"! It was a message you used to get if you tried bidding on a trader during the switchover. Learn to read! When I said somebody broke it I was referring to the programmers not the players.

my 10k got the trader earlier than I legally won it.

They need to redo this, but I dont think they can take this separately, whole server needs to ?

if the free kiosks happened a little bit more late this wont happen

today there was a delay while getting the flip flops as server could not handle this

all kiosks gone free as it should be after 5 minutes

people grab like there is no tomorrow

system started working but no chance

Or just stop bidding 25 min earlier. Ppl have a whole week to bid and all this stuff atm wouldn't have happened...

No, I think what happened is stated in the first Post of this thread.

I don't think ppl "overbid" the last second.

I think the Sever had not enough time to process all the bids and took longer that 8:05 therefore opening up the Traders for hiring since there were no bids on the kiosk.

To prevent that and give the server more time to actually run its actions, we would be less vulnerable to things like this.

I have no idea what exactly went wrong, but TTC has gone wrong, too.

It's listing things as being at a trader, an hour ago (so, well after the switch), but when you get there the guild in question isn't at that location.

Also, I sold a plan for an Elsweyr Winerack, at some point at, or around, the switch (I was offline at the time) and the sale didn't register in the MM window at all.

I know I sold it, as I got a TTC notification when I logged back on and I was sent the gold (and it is no longer listed on the trader).

But, I have no idea if I sold it last week, or this week?

Which I know doesn't matter that much, except, if I sold it last week I was probably in the top two sellers last week (so, qualify for a small prize), but if I sold it this week, I was only third (so, don't).

Other sold things have been listed, as normal, in the MM window, both before and after the switch, but not this Winerack, for some reason.

It's all very strange...

About the MM issue: on one of the threads about EU server performance today, Gina did say they had shut off read requests for Guild History in response, which should include sales history. MM might not be able to read any sales until that changes. (I’m not sure how server pushes are working now.)

It’s also possible the history is just spotty: on NA today, for example, some guilds could see all their trader bids won and lost, while others couldn’t, even in cases where they had won a bid and the trader was accurately reflecting that. That despite the fact that the flip seemed to go smoothly, much more so than on EU. I don’t think Gina’s post about Guild History read requests applied to NA, but I could be wrong. Even so, it’s strange that it works in some cases but not others.

Regarding TTC: since players can scan their own guilds’ listings from a bank, and since the guild info page is sometimes listing a trader that the guild doesn’t actually have, it’s possible that someone scanned the listing from the banker’s guild store interface and that TTC associated it with the trader listed for that guild under guild info. I’m not sure how exactly TTC pulls trader info, but that would be the only thing that makes sense to me given the current situation.

the whole thing is disastrous. i don't know if this is true, but traders got refunded far more than they bid (i think that's true), and they used the extra gold to buy up stuff like gold mats, etc. (i hope that part is just a rumor).

so i wish they'd roll back the server to pre-trading bids. and then i don't know...scrap this new bidding process altogether? what was the point of it anyway? sounds like it borked the server, and they're supposedly trying to make the server run better. so the trading change seems counter-intuitive

That last part is not a rumor. There were simply no gold mats left on PC EU's major spots last night. When I logged off for the night, people had just started to list wax for up to 20k a piece in Deshaan, because everything else was gone.

If there's really suddenly billions of more gold in the economy, then it could lead to huge inflation. ZoS should probably roll back to before bids happened.

One of my guilds still is still showing that we have guild trader X on the guild info screen but when I go to that trader, they're hired by another guild.
And as the guild info thinks you have a trader, you can scan your guild at the bank, and that's the info that TTC works with.

That there's a serious disconnect between the various parts of the game now, is apparently a minor hiccough for ZOS.

Have you tried using /mm missing? I believe that is the command for mm to check the sales log.

Hmmm...I put up some wax iirc and it went in a minute or so. Asked 7k I think. Zircon platings went just as fast.

I'm sitting on a stack of good mats. I'm not going to list them until the trader system stabilises. Don't want someone buying the items then relisting at 200% over average price.

I don't think it's that. It doesn't even matter if resold loss based. The gold just needs to vanish from the Gms or Gms alt accounts, the purchased items can be stored in guild banks and moved. Usually zos is pretty stupid with following up such activities since a seller won't get the gold removed anymore its nto his fault. Once the gold is away, zos can't remove the gold from those accounts if there is no gold anymore. The gold after is invested into mats, which later can be turned into gold as well. Sure people will also use the current situation and try to raise prices to sell this week, but the massive amount "noname" buyers put into golden tempers was more than suspixious. Usually u know the filthy rich powersellers and resellers able to buy up massive amounts of tempers and so on. Last night odd things were going on....

ZOS should have a record of what was refunded to the guilds. What if they simply retracted the overage from the guilds they sent it to. This may place some into a negative amount until the funds are placed back in to reduce the negative. Guilds with a negative amount should also be prevented from disbanding until the debt is cleared.

They knew it was an error but moved the gold to hide it. But if they had left the gold in the guild account, this would clear without a problem when the gold is pulled out by ZOS.

There is no doubt that something hinky was going on last night. The number of low inventory guilds that managed to grab spots last night wasn't all due to luck on the part of newcomers. Tactically unwise though. All they've done is highlight the fact that the ghost guild trickery is still around, albeit in a modified form.

Given the choice between a tin foil hat or a blindfold, I'd take the hat every time. Keeps the rain off too, even if it looks a bit wacky.
