How bad is the increase to cast archer in pts ...do u still use in every roto or less often now cause the cost to cast doubled

Detonating Siphon doesn't cost anything and Soul Trap replaces Razor Caltrops, costs Magicka so thats 1 less stamina ability. If you do the math you're sustain and dps should go up on single target.

Also Blastbones is a little more reliable and Archer does more dps.

It's a utility skill now. Does less aoe dot damage then typical aoe dots like Volley.

Also, if you were using Endless Hail, you'll most likely have an easier time with Arrow Barrage. +20% damage, 10s overall duration (8s dot, 2s delay). Endless Hail overall duration of 14s (12s dot, 2s delay). Doesn't really line up with anything.

Barbed Trap lasts 18s instead of 12 with increased damage and less cost.

Overall vs Live, your sustain should be better if you were using all those abilities.

Ok thanks for the info so re morph endless hail and drop caltrops for soul trap .. any other big things still keeping rending slashes? Is necro also using vma or is it still viable with monster sets
    ..sorry for all the questions...lol

I'd google Liko's videos on youtube, think he used VMA DW, but it's probably very close with Monster Set.. Depends what you're better with and if you even like Flurry, maybe you prefer Skull.

Rending Slashes and DW/2H Axe bleeds do not penetrate resistance, but were buffed in damage. This is an increase in DPS for PVE since you usually coordinate full penetration on bosses anyway. 1x axe and 1x dagger might be bis again for DW single target. Rending Slashes can't be used as a spammable like before, so if you want some extra healing, it really doesn't hurt you're dps too much to go for Blood Craze and I prefer it.

You will also see higher up-times on Rending Slashes and Poison Injection because the 12s rotation is now 10s with all dots, you will have to make sure you aim to let the 10s end on Barrage before you redo your rotation to get the last tick on everything if possible.

The changes have led people to replace VMA bows with Master Bows. It's basically an option between higher single target damage via Master Bow or Slightly lower single target, but higher aoe damage via VMA Bow. It's up to you.

Oh and 2H VMA back bar + DW front bar is pretty competitive now if that tickles your fancy. Losing the range on bow is a pretty big deal, but on a dummy at least. You can get pretty high, think I saw someone get 90K + on iron atro.

So for most dw/bow will still be best set up? I'll have to play around with master bow before I drop vma I like having the aoe buff to hail

Is there a cast timeout on slashes now

The thing I hate about using vma dw is having to spam flurry so if the damage increase isnt to high may stick with monster set

DW Bow still appears as best, but other options aren't that far behind. Try DW 2H for the lol's. Stampede change is pretty cool.

Direct damage is at the beginning and DOT damage over 10s = Ticks at 2s, 4s, 6s, 8s, and 10s.

It was updated, no longer gives 2k WPD to 1 single target dot after flurry. It now gives 1k WPD to all single target dots applied within the next 4s after flurry. You can comfortably weave 3 skills in. Much easier than before.

Up to you. It only gives +3% WPD. For Necro you could slot Grave Lord for +10% Crit on 25%-0% hp targets, but you may already be at 100%, just do the math for yourself. It's not too bad for trash, cheap and gives +300 WPD for 20s making it useful in some cases depending on what content you're running. If you were at 100% Crit in execute, Werewolf for +15% stam recovery front bar could be nice too. Options are a lot more open, it's less of a requirement to use than before.

Yes, the ability always only gave 5% from the morph, 3% from the passives. Only the morph was changed.

No, the werewolf ultimate gives you 15% stam recov when slotted.

Was the 5% in place of the 3% or in addition to it? Like are we losing 5% or 2%?

Thanks! I guess I'll alternate dawnbreaker or werewolf depending on the situation
