tbh i dont think that my complaints will be recognized or will change anything for good, since all topics which critically acclaim your action with the nerf hammer get ignored, unless they derail and get closed.

eventually those nerf calls would get ignored and closed by zos - or at least they pretended to ingore them. however, in the long run those nerf calls would get enough attention to strike all of us with the nerf hammer.

as example scalebreaker :
shields in generell gets 3 nerfs....increased cost, reduced duration and also reduced max shield strength.
the heavy armor pvp meta....well tbh i dont know what you tried to do there. let me guess: you want to eliminate this playstile as a whole, instead of bringing balance to it?^^
several sets wich where in this game for years and never caused real problems, most of them did not even require the least attempt of balancing them, now get nerfed or heavily altered, why?
they overperform now after years? like there is no reason for it to be that strong? like there is no reason for plague doctor to be that strong?
oh, ye sure, maybe some some salty nerflings complained about it but 2 questions tho.....
1. then why the jEFF was it there in the first place?
2. and thats reason enough to nerf sets wich have been here since at the beginning and did not overperform at all?

some sets were pretty strong and needed adjustment. however, bringing balance to them did not require to completely change their purpose and eventually alter or destroy builds and play styles.
from my perspective your patch notes transport only 1 message :
change the meta, whatever the cost, whatever the outcome.

oh and btw nerfing a set like fury wich is around 750 wpn dmg before scalebreaker and then you want to introduce a set like Dro’zakar’s Claws which will be 800+ wpn dmg for bleed builds is just wow gg....that logic
its quite obvious that some changes do not adress balance issues but aim at forcing players into senseless gear regrinding over and over again, else you would not introduce such over performing sets.

These nerfs do not address balance issues, they are just a marketing gag.

If Zeni tried to bring us balance, they would ask the nerf callers in which context those sets or skills that "deserve " a nerf would overperform and try to reproduce the situation or evaluate in another way whether counterplay was impossible or not.

For example, if a PvP setup outperforms a PvE player in PvP content, be it Cyro or be it BGs, the problem is not the overperformance of a set or a skill, it is that the wrong geared players is no serious competition.

If a set or skill overperforms under fair and objective PvP constraints, then minor adjustment is needed, not stripping a set or a class of their identity.

As you pointed out, nerfing everything and their dog, especially the overperforming sets and the WW lately, appears quite strange since an overperforming bleeder is announced. It's all about the DLC sales and the neverending regrind of gear.

Let's wait for gold mats in the crown store, then the joke would be perfect.

As I said before. This is the only mmo community that I know of that treasures and praises the nerf hammer. It truly is astonishing to see. I'll never understand it.

True. It was hilarious to see all the happy dancing in multiple threads in previous patch when NB was stripped of minor berserk and DK wings were ripped off.

Since they never listen to us, except for nerf calls, we should ask for salary nerfs for Zeni staff.

Seems to me a lot of the nerfs to sorcs are to try and get players to change to a different character. Less sorcs, less pets, less magicka in general, less effects going off in a prolonged fight = less lag.

Just a theory, of course, but believable as anything else...

But hey, I got my Flawless title last weekend, so once this patch hits, my ESO time is pretty much done. It was (mostly) fun while it lasted...

Oh you mean like when Wings were removed from the game completely in one single first week PTS without any discussion?

When DK got Combustion as a 100 magika/stamina regen per sec class passive that worked on two stamina skills for stamDK

Yeah... maybe you should consider balance my friend.

Shield stacking and burst, weapon dmg stacking and tank are not balanced.

Eternal warrior set got gutted for no reason...

You see gutted, I see a goldmine. You see for PvP NBs, we tend to drop below 25% every minute. This will give users more ultimate per minute than Bloodspawn and also a Burst Heal, so I can go without 2H for rally, which was our only Burst heal. Add in Balorgh, you are looking at a strong PvP build

Shields are still decent. Healing ward RN is a bit nuts.

Heavy stam meta is still going to be a thing.

Several sets caused a lot of problems, and one would have with Soul Trap changes. Senche's getting nerfed/changed was kinda odd but makes sense in a way if you're trying to normalize things. The crit damage buff probably needs to last even longer for it to be worthwhile.

Probably some of the reason these nerfs happened now is new design lead. New design lead's been working at a decent pace but even this many changes at once freaks people out.

7th/Fury/Ravager etc nerfs were clearly a long time coming so IDK why you're acting suprised they got nerfed. TBH only Vieled is kinda dead and that one still might see niche play in PvP.

@Thrain man, it looks like you're just opening your eyes after years of sleep.

some set have been overperforming for years and just dodged the (needed?) nerfhammer until now.

the game have changed a lot too and what used to be fine or fair before maybe isnt anymore.

finally Dro'zakar's claws is medium armor (understand physical dmg oriented armore type) and somehow active and targets can be purged while fury was lasting entire fights weither they lasted 5sec or 5minutes (which made silly uptimes for a tank oriented armor type).

While this might be true - all of it - you can't deny that they did not only nerf these sets. They stripped them from their identity. Overperforming damage can be lowered, but ontop of that they change mechanics and repurpose sets.

Like yokeda and phoenix, while these changes might be a chance for better performance of these sets as a whole, they eliminated the niche builds that required anti-death mechnanics by changing all sets at once. They always eliminate niche gear and niche builds.

Furthermore, where is the needed nerfhammer for the upcoming sets? The whole balance thing shoehorns into a freakin marketing coup.

You like godlike damage? Buy the DLC, old sets are the past! Conclusion: They are freakin little liars.
