Before the campaign restarts, leave Cyrodiil on all your characters. This is a known bug that locks you in if you left characters in Cyrodiil.
You'll probably have to abandon the campaign as well, either for free at the end of the campaign or pay to do it now.

OR ZOS could not be braindead for once and do 1 line of code to force all characters out of cyro or make a pop that lets you leave cyro.

i just fixed mine today, i did have to spend 400k but there should be an option that says leave when current campaign ends, and its just not there anymore. so you get trapped.

Several updates ago, they changed it so that characters could stay logged into Cyrodiil if there wasnt a poplock. Its a nice QOL for players who stay in Cyrodiil all the time, and its pretty easily worked around by wayshrining all your characters out of Cyrodiil before the campaign ends.

If you have 2 factions locked to different campaigns for all toons on one faction abandon campaign for 100k is required to swap factions and enter campagin. And then you have to pay extra 150k to sign up for new campgin. I don't think it's fair. Faction and home campagin should just reset at the end. Hefty price for abandon - new home should only apply when you do that in the middle of the campagin.

After sending a ticket about this today i just received this reply

"We understand there are some frustrations currently when logging into a character that was previously in a 30-day faction locked campaign, and automatically being re-locked into the same Alliance. In the future, we will be adding some protections against this scenario.

Until we’re able to implement that, you should double check your character’s last saved location on the character select panel to help prevent accidental Alliance locking to a Campaign when you want to switch to another Alliance. We appreciate your patience in this matter. "

Because you're clearly trying to spy on your faction in a grand conspiracy to have total control over the entirety of Cyrodiil, which has a net population of 10 players, and farm the lowly players as you please who just try to get by and play for their team.

Also you're probably an AP feeder. Or selling leaderboard positions.Or exploiting the campaign rewards.

There is no other conceivable reason to want to switch factions. None.
