Nerf to Pirate skeleton but not Bloodspawn?

Why not?
It is being used by the most broken builds. Nerf this one too.

    You mean stamdk/stamden in heavy with major mending, lingering pots and cauterize/burstheal? etc etc

    Bloodspawn only has a 6% chance to proc resistances and ulti, which is affected my penetration, Major Protection had very little counters.
    With the nerfs to the heavy armor sets that proc weapon damage, many will choose to wear medium instead.

    never once have i thought "wow that bloodspawn is so op" not once in 5 years. i'd like to smoke what you got that you think blood spawn needs nerf.

    Ultigen tied to survivability.
    Id like to see if people have what it takes to get of the comfort of solid defence which buys time to build ulty (quicker).

    How many of you would use BS if the random low proc was about damage rather safety in defence.

    Here is a better idea.
    How about instead of asking for homogenization you look up for what's overperforming and bring it in line with other features in order for selection to be based on choice rather BiS.

    I personally would like to know if ZOS has a balance team.... Lol You CANNOT do nerfs and buffs off of data alone. Balancing is a mix of data and feels. When I was a balancer for a studio we had to play pvp (pvp only game) for 4 hours a day. The rest of the day we'd look at data and determine what was broken. You wouldn't believe it, but half the time data lied.

    I personally believe their combat designer does balance and its purely based off data. In fact, at one point he threw data at us which was almost pointless.

    Ya all cry soo much that pretty soon we'll all just be wearing boring 7 piece Rubidite head to toe with no glyphs, no procs, everyone with the same exact skills, and the game will just die from suckage. Stop feeding the nerf hammer already!

    bloodspawn has a 6% chance to proc, lasts for 6 seconds, and in theory has a 100% uptime (in reality, no, 6% once its ready to go)

    it provides 14 ult on max cooldown would be (14 ult every 6 seconds so 14/6) 2.3 ult a second. (once again in reality, no)

    it grants near as makes no difference 10% mitigation through armor and spell resist. however as this is armor and spell resist is subject to a hard cap (33k) and penetration values.


    pirate skeleton provided 30% mitigation that was not subject to any form of cap, bypass, or penetration, with ~80% uptime, higher (more consistent) proc chance, and a negligible downside, especially on necro.


    pirate skeleton is / was far and away better. the reason people like bloodspawn is that:
    -it is in fact and ult gen set (no matter how small) and classes like DK will take any / every source they can get.
    -while no stats are crazy, everything is decent, nothing is "bad"
    -its easy to farm, especially being an OG set compared to arguably some of the new monster sets that are MUCH better but impossible to farm.


    so yeah, its decent, but pirate skelly was WAY BETTER, its a deserved nerf. something like bloodspawn that grants a couple small buffs is far less volatile then an "I wont die" set bonus.

    Actually, it's not. If we want to follow the trend on overpowerd monster sets, Bloodspawn and Engine Guardian definitely fit the bill. Bloospawn's mitigation is not necessarily too strong, but the Ulti you get every 6 secs is. It's actually a bit insane. They should lower the amount of Ulti you get. Engine guardian is also way too strong with the amount of resources it returns.

    But hey, I didn't want PS to get nerfed. I wanted other monster sets to get buffed so there would be more choices. But to nerf PS so heavily and leave Bloodspawn untouched is silly.

    The last 100 people I talked to about pirate skeleton said its a *** set I should use Bs or balorgh. It was me who decided that it is better in practice, and there will all ways be some thing better.

    So we are not really nerfing sets we are nerfing play style, in this case it’s pirate skeleton.

    STOP nerving changing stuff constantly with only pvp in mind! if you nerf something for pvp then at the same time buff it for pve so not to ruin it - the pvp population in this game is much smaller than the pve population - and i understand they want things changed - but do so while not ruin stuff for the pve players - you will not sustain this game with only the pvp players

    STOP nerving changing stuff constantly with only pvp in mind! if you nerf something for pvp then at the same time buff it for pve so not to ruin it - the pvp population in this game is much smaller than the pve population - and i understand they want things changed - but do so while not ruin stuff for the pve players - you will not sustain this game with only the pvp players

    This game is sustained by casuals and crown store.

    people mathing it out like it's giving ult and resists every 6 seconds should probably try using it for a day. it doesn't proc every 6 seconds, even in a duel where you're constantly taking damage uptime is like 60% at most.

    So, let me get this straight. You're playing the one class, no the one sub-class in this game, that synergises with Bloodspawn the most, and you're crying about how apparently OP it is?

    I swear, each time I *** read these forums, it's like being beat over the head with a mallet by a *** bodybuilder, that's how many brain cells I lose.

    (even though I was mathing it out, I was sure to add that in reality, it does not proc that often)

    for instance, they added an effect to its proc (a stone like skin) and it took me forever to realize THATS the bloodspawn proc, it was happening so rarely at weird times that for the longest time I just didn't know what it was.

    At this rate, in next 2 patches ZOS will have to nerf PvE mobs, because those will be the one that will be over-performing... :D

    I think the fact that you control your character is overpreforming and I move to replace all player characters with any form of cute animal that will play for you. That’s the only way to achieve balance.
