We are currently investigating issues some players are having logging into the European PC/Mac megaserver. We will update as new information becomes available.

[Suggestion] Add option to remove quest acceptance/turn-in notifications.

For the average quester this is probably something that doesn't even get noticed, but as someone who runs through daily crafting writs on a full account of characters and frequently turns in a stockpile of master writs, this would be a much-appreciated feature. Even more so since the Elsweyr patch where my FPS drops drastically while all that text is generating across the screen.

Outside of new players, do you really need the game to tell you that you just accepted a quest? Or, for that matter, just turned one in? We already have an option to enable/disable the quest tracking text in the upper right-hand corner, so if you need the reminder of what the quest needs... there it is. I've gotten to the point where I can accept all my crafting writs, and have all the items crafted before the quest dialog has finished cycling across the screen. And I'm on console without any add-ons to do the crafting for me.

Likewise, once I turn the writs and I want to check my inventory for rewards, half my display is blocked by the quest completion text. This is even more pronounced when turning in a string of master writs. I can be halfway across the zone and still be getting quest completion dialog!

I realize that some people may appreciate this feature, and I'm not asking for it to be removed completely. I would just like it added as a toggle-able option in the base-game menu. (I'm sure there are PC add-ons that remove this for you guys).

Happens the same to me... It becomes more annoying over time... 8 chars here.

Maybe a much smaller text and up in a corner out the way rather than in your face and blocking your view, for those who want to keep it around but appreciate the OP's problem with it?

I think my game crashed one time from turning in so many master writs so quickly. The text was so far behind everything just stopped then finally it just crashed.

I'd like to have this option.

I tried using Azurah to move the text and make it smaller, but it either affects all types of notifications or none of them, so if I do that I also lose ones I might want to see.

Take the following comment for what it is: my memory of an anecdotal statement from several years ago, but...

I've been told that the game has an xp / time check that if you earn "too much" xp in too short of a window it will kick you off the server. Supposedly this was to prevent people abusing some bug or something, but I've also been given "Error 307 - Booted from server." before while turning in a bunch of master writs. Just happened a couple weeks ago, as a matter of fact, while I was using alchemy master writs to level my new necro.

Now whether it's an xp 'check' of some sort, or just the buildup of quest notifications that does it in, I can't say, but it is very frustrating nonetheless.

Thanks for the info, that may have been it because I used a 150%xp scroll just to see what I would get for giggles as I am above 810 anyway. Gained over 10CP or at least 10-12 million exp. points.
